Purplepig Crafts

Purplepig Crafts Jenny Wedgbury's craft page. Sharing my love of cardmaking and papercraft with my local community. I have started running a monthly cardmaking and craft club.

My name is Jenny Wedgbury and I live on Park farm in Ashford, Kent. I have been making my own greetings cards for over 25 years and would love to share my cardmaking with a wider audience under the Purple Pig Crafts banner. Please note that Purplepig Crafts is not a business, more what you may call a glorified hobby.I will be posting photos of many of my crafty makes along with additional hints, t

ips, projects and other info etc. Please share your thoughts on my creations or ask advice on all aspects of cardmaking. I have a dedicated craft room at home - my little crafting haven. This is large enough for me to host group craft workshops and lessons. Please see my page Purplepig Craft Club for dates and detail . Suitable for total beginners and more advanced crafters alike. I can also arrange cardmaking lessons for anyone new to crafting or for those who would like to improve their skills or have "crafter's block". Message me to find out more. If you cannot visit me in my craft room I can "go mobile" and give demonstrations and workshops at a venue to suit. Just get in touch and discuss your requirements. Please like/follow my page and projects and share with anyone you know who may be interested in cardmaking and papercrafting. Also take a look at my website www.Purplepigcrafts.co.uk (website currently under reconstruction due to hacking).

I am running a craft declutter sale in Woodchurch on 26th Sep and am looking for stallholders. So if you are a hobby crafter (or business) and have an excess of supplies then why not join us and sell your unwanted stash. I am particularly looking for anyone wanting to sell cardmaking, papercraft, painting, drawing, kids crafts, knitting and crochet supplies. Tables will be £15 each, however I may reduce this nearer the time if I get enough sellers. If you don't have sufficient supplies for a full size table I may be able to offer a couple of half size tables for £8. Entry to the sale will be free so book the date in your diaries and pop along for some great bargains. We'll also be selling refreshments on the day.
This is not a money raising event for me but if there are any profits from running the event then the money will be donated to "The Canterbury Oast Trust". Please message me for more details and to book your table. I am also in need of volunteers to help on the day or donate a cake/baked goods. If anyone could oblige this would be greatly appreciated.
I would also appreciate it if all my lovely friends could share this post far and wide.

I run a cardmaking and papercraft club on Saturday mornings. We recently had a few sessions using rubber stamping and heat embossing with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers for colouring. A great few mornings with fun and giggles. Here's what my lovely ladies made. The last 10 photos are my demo samples.
If anyone is local to Ashford and would like to join the club then please message me for more details.

Members of the Shadoxhurst community recently held a taster day at Shadoxhurst Village Hall. There were several crafts for everyone to try including lace making, pyrography, wood turning and printing. I ran a cardmaking table popular with both adults and children. We made cards using 3D decoupage, colour in medallions and peel off stickers.
It was a great day so thanks must go to all the team for their hard work arranging it all. And thanks to my great friend Rachel Parker-Link for assisting me.

I run a regular fun cardmaking and craft club in my craft room at my house on Park Farm, Ashford. For the last three sessions we have been using stencils. We used inks and small stencil brushes to make the main design including blending the inks for shading. To enhance some of the designs we added detail using glitter gel pens and fineliners to make certain elements really stand out.
If you are local and would like to improve your cardmaking skills or are a beginner needing help getting started then why not join us. Message me for more details and visit my club page Purplepig Craft Club
