I’m back! ….And so is the website.

We’ve had an amazing 6 weeks travelling around Australia but now it’s time for school/college and work 😿

Starting with a small website update then onto all the preparation for The Scottish Yarn Festival next weekend.

Just one more week of the website being open before my summer break, the last posting day will be Monday.

I’m hoping to reopen around the end of August/beginning of September.

Hope you all aren’t too hot in this weather ☀️

I have decided with all this lovely weather (and my hand still causing me some issues) to have a little summer break.

I won’t be attending any shows during July or August this year but don’t worry we will be back in September with The Scottish Yarn Festival and .

The website will also temporarily close the first week of July until the end of August, so if you have your eye on something be sure to get your order in in time.

Another new colour way brought to you by my increasingly talented daughter…. If my hand doesn’t heal itself quickly I really might be out of a job 😹

This one will be making its way to this weekend with Mr AWTEW as I’m on mum duty down south.

The winding has begun, that is until Mr AWTEW goes back to work tomorrow…. In the meantime I now have a mountain of labelling to do 😸

I may get to a point where I can’t move in the house for dyed yarn waiting to be wound 😹

6 weeks post hand op and I can dye yarn if I’m careful but haven’t got the strength or grip to wind it yet, I’ve already called favour of the youngest child to rinse it for me and Mr AWTEW is away for a while with work….

Slowly getting back to normal… how could I not try to make use of this glorious sunshine?
The only problem is I can’t use my hand enough to wind them all just yet so I have buckets of yarn everywhere 🙈

Did you know I have over 30 different shades of grey on a variety of bases?

And they have been quite popular lately so I decided to try and manage a small amount of dyeing this week, nothing too exciting just some more grey semi solids to join the rest.

I still needed to get Mr AWTEW to wash them and the youngest child to wind them as I can’t do that just yet, but I’m getting there slowly.
