Last week Jay and I returned to client's Katya and Ross to put the finishing touches to Anya's (aged 8) bedroom and have been awaiting the arrival of the final piece, the rug.

I always think a rug is the most important item, it pulls the entire room together, so I squealed with delight when Katya finally sent these images 😀

Anya is a very grown up 8 year old, she knew what she wanted from our very first consultation; soft tones of blues, greens and pink's with a vintage feel.

Everything in the room is new, except a few choice, reclaimed pieces, painted especially by yours truly (I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed furniture artisty).

And doesn't the rug pull it all together, Just Perfectly 👌😘

So, how are we getting on with Anya's room at Katya and Ross's? Well, the De Neimes painted woodwork is looking crisp against the lovely Pale Powder lower wall and the beautiful Claret and Kay wallpaper is going up today!

New design layout for client's Claire and Sebastian. They had just purchased a large corner sofa in blue and we're struggling make it work in their room.

Their brief was to create a modern, urban and eclectic feel, using new and reclaimed pieces and it was immediately apparent that the main pieces for the room needed to be oversized to balance the sofa, complemented by smaller accent pieces.

The blue walls mirroring the sofa in colour creates a modern look, paired with stylish neutral wallpaper with a hint of a print to soften the feel and oversized artwork completes the designs.

For Claire and Sebastian it is, Just Perfect 👌😘

Well hello there lovelies 👋 sorry we've been so quiet recently, only on here though, in real life we've been very busy bees 😘

Thought you might like to see the bedroom designs for my latest clients, Sasha (aged 12) and Anya (aged 9).

Firstly Sasha's room, she wanted sophisticated neutrals, a very grown up design.

Working with a reduced palette around Sasha's existing bed; unusually for me I used 3 pieces from the same range for a smart simplicity, only adding a couple of different items for interest. Those 3 pieces include rattan texturing though, creating dimension and definition, easily lost with such a reduced palette . . .
