🚀 New Driveway Transformation Underway! 🚀

We’ve officially kicked off groundworks on a fantastic new driveway project, and the team has been hard at work turning a messy problem into a flawless foundation. 🏡💥

❌ The Problem:
The customer’s existing decorative gravel driveway looked nice initially, but it had started sinking and was constantly overspilling onto the public footpath. Not only was it a daily hassle to sweep up, but it was also becoming a real trip hazard.

🏗️ The KDS Solution (The Groundwork):
Preparation is everything when it comes to a long-lasting driveway. To fix the issue properly, we brought in the heavy machinery and called in some excellent local businesses to get the job done right:

Excavation: Utilised a handy 1.5-tonne digger from Aylesbury Plant Hire Ltd to clear out the failing surface.

Clearance: All the old muck and waste was quickly and efficiently cleared off-site by Ben Mason Grab Hire.

The Foundation: Built back up with 7 tonnes of Type 3 MOT (an absolute MUST for resin bound driveways), and a blinding layer of smaller, clean stone delivered by Smiths Aggregates, to ensure a rock-solid, fully stable, and permeable sub-base.

🤝 Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!
The ground is now perfectly prepped and levelled! We are handing the baton over to another local company to complete the final resin bound transformation.

They will be finishing the driveway with a high-quality resin bound base, two layers of structural reinforcement mesh and a stunning, durable resin bound finish.

No more sinking, no more loose stone on the footpath—just a sleek, modern, low-maintenance finish built to last. 💪✨

🔨 Project Update: Wingbury Farm Glamping 🌿
We’ve been out in the sunshine at Wingbury Farm Glamping and Wingrave Business Park this week! It was a pleasure to help refresh such a stunning local spot.

One job involved removing some tired old hazel hurdle fencing and replacing it with three sturdy new panels to sharpen up the boundaries. We also tackled some light garden maintenance to make sure everything is looking pristine for their guests.

What we did:
✅ Removed & disposed of old hazel hurdles
✅ Supplied & installed 3 premium fence panels
✅ Seasonal garden tidy-up

There’s nothing like the smell of fresh timber! 🪵✨

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY: Wingrave Edition! 🏡✨

We’ve just wrapped up a garden overhaul in Wingrave, taking this space from an overgrown jungle to a pristine new lawn in just 48 hours! ⏱️💪

This project had it all:
✅ A giant soil mound to remove
✅ An old pond that needed filling and levelling
✅ Years of overgrowth to clear

We didn't mess about—we brought in the right tools and the best local suppliers to get the job done right:

We’re back in Aylesbury this week getting the groundwork ready for an exciting new garden office! A massive shoutout to our client who did an incredible job with the prep work—hand excavating the area, laying the membrane, compacting the Type 1 MOT sub-base, and getting the shuttering spot on. 👏

We’ve got the experts at Base Concrete supplying the mix, and we’ve deployed a team of 4 operatives to barrow the concrete through to the back garden and get it perfectly leveled off. It’s a workout, but there’s nothing like seeing a fresh slab ready for a brand-new workspace! 🏠💻

✨ Project Complete: Wingrave!
We are thrilled to announce that our latest decking project at Wingbury Business Park is officially finished! After a thorough removal and prep phase, the transformation is complete, and the results speak for themselves.

To ensure this deck stands the test of time, we didn't cut any corners on materials or protection. We pride ourselves on using the best components to prevent the rot issues that affected the previous structure.

The Build Highlights:
Premium Materials: New high-quality deck boards delivered by the local legends at Chesham Fencing.

Precision Fastening: Secured with 1,500 65mm torx screws for maximum stability and a clean finish.

Advanced Protection: We applied cut-end treatment to every seal and used deck joist tape to provide a waterproof barrier, significantly extending the life of the timber.

Build a New Step: Replacing an old, tired entrance step with a fresh, sturdy version that matches the new deck perfectly.

Smart Cladding: We covered the old, unsightly wooden backing with composite cladding. This now seamlessly matches the existing posts and exterior cladding, creating a sleek, uniform look across the entire area

🏗️ Project Spotlight: Wingrave Business Park
Nothing beats a productive day on-site! The team at KDS Landscapes was out in force this week at Wingrave Business Park, getting the groundwork ready for a major security upgrade.

The Job:
We tackled a 70-metre trench to house new security camera cabling. Precision is key when you're working across a busy business park, so we brought in the right tools for the task.

The Kit:
Shout out to Aylesbury Plant Hire for the 1-tonne Kubota excavator. It made light work of the long run and kept us nimble in tighter spots.

The Finish:
Once the cabling was laid, we backfilled and compacted the trench, ensuring we left plenty of excess at both ends for the final connections. Smooth, tidy, and ready for the tech team to take over! 🔌🛡️

Another productive day for the KDS team! Yesterday, we were on-site at Wingrave Business Park, carrying out full routine maintenance and gutter cleaning for all the businesses and residential units. 🛠️🏢🏠
