As the year closed, I didn’t move straight into intentions or resolutions.
I spent time preparing energetically — slowly, honestly, and in the body.
Yesterday, this is what that looked like for me.
I grounded first.
Before any clearing or reflection, I focused on regulation — breath, presence, contact with my body. I wanted my nervous system settled before touching anything “spiritual.”
Then I asked myself a series of questions and let the answers arrive without forcing them.
• What am I still carrying that doesn’t belong in the next cycle?
• Where am I holding energetic responsibility that isn’t mine?
• What connections am I maintaining out of guilt, obligation, or habit rather than truth?
• Where am I leaking energy through over-explaining or over-accommodating?
• What version of me is ready to be retired — not with rejection, but with gratitude?
• What pace allows me to stay honest rather than impressive?
• What does integrity actually require from me as I cross this threshold?
Cord cutting, for me, wasn’t about disconnection or emotional shutdown.
It was about releasing energetic responsibility with compassion — after grounding, not instead of it.
I didn’t rush clarity.
I didn’t try to manifest forward.
I focused on ending well.
This isn’t advice or instruction — just lived experience, shared from integration rather than urgency.
If you’re entering the New Year slowly, quietly, or without a clear plan yet, you’re not behind.
Take what resonates. Leave the rest.
