🤎 Simply Cinnamon is back early. My carefully organised plans have left the building. 🤎

The most-asked question this past week? “When are your festive fragrances dropping?” 🎄

Not “How are you, Rich?” Not “Would you like a biscuit?” Straight to the Christmas interrogation. I respect your priorities, but I would still like the biscuit. 😂

I had an autumn restock planned. Very sensible. Very seasonal. Almost suspiciously organised for me.

Naturally, I’ve put that on pause and poured the first of our FIVE festive fragrances instead. My to-do list is taking it personally. 🫠

Welcome back, Simply Cinnamon! 🤎

Warming cinnamon, a little citrus zing, cosy nutmeg and soft vanilla. All the “I’ve been baking festive treats” atmosphere, with absolutely none of the washing-up. You’re welcome. 🧦✨

And because apparently simply pouring a candle wasn’t enough work for me, each one has a hand-piped whipped wax top, finished with a perfectly moulded wax cinnamon stick. 🤎 All the fancy festive dessert looks, absolutely no business being eaten. Please admire my piping, not test it with a spoon. 😂

It’s practically demanding fluffy socks, closed curtains and the cancellation of any plans requiring proper trousers.

You asked. I listened. The autumn restock would like a word. 😅

🎨🥂 Fancy swapping the daily chaos for a paintbrush, a glass of bubbles and the chance to get paint on your sleeve in a festive way?

Our busy little workshop is putting on its winter-scene-making hat for the final Bubbles & Brush Strokes of 2026. We’ll squeeze around the tables, pop the bubbles, enjoy a handmade sweet treat made especially for the occasion, and paint together. Expect cosy chatter, happy chaos and at least one moment of “That’s definitely meant to look like a tree.”

Never painted before? You’re in excellent company! This is beginner-friendly, and our expert tutor will guide you step by step. No experience needed — just come ready to have a laugh and make something lovely to take home. Artistic talent is optional; enthusiasm and the occasional painty finger are very welcome.

These workshops have sold out every month, so don’t wait until the only thing left to paint is a sad little picture of the booking page. Book your spot ASAP and join us for a properly lovely winter evening! ✨

📣 Rich’s weekly update: Small-business-owner mode — serene swan on the surface, paddling like mad underneath, and reheating the same cup of tea for the third time.

Hey Pumpkin is back on the shelf, and the Witches Brew restock is landing today. You’re buying six at a time now, not one — lovely for sales, slightly alarming for my stock spreadsheet. And because you’ve been asking for festive scents, I’ve pulled Simply Cinnamon into production early, with four more scents arriving in November. I’d say I’ve got it all under control, but I’ve just added “find more hours in the day” to the business plan.

There is, of course, a plot twist: three scents are heading back to the fragrance vault until next year. Wild Bluebell, Sweet Pea and one mystery scent are taking a seasonal sabbatical. Will they return? The vault is keeping quiet, and I’m respecting their privacy. (Mostly.)

I’ve closed private bookings for all our workshops, so you’ve been booking through the events calendar instead. November is nearly full, December is filling up already, and The Candle & Cocktails Club is almost booked through to 2027. My calendar is more organised than I am — and it’s now making plans further ahead than my meal prep.

The Poppy Appeal candle is on the shelves and selling fast. It’s been custom-made for the charity, with a beautiful pottery poppy made by our amazing potter adorning the top of each one — and all profits go to the Poppy Appeal ❤️

This year it’s only available in a medium size, because the production side of the business is currently mayhem and I keep muttering, “We need a bigger space!” every time I turn around.

Behind the scenes, deliveries are missing, oils are being tested, launches are being planned, and the team is running on tea and determined swan energy. Small-business ownership: part candle maker, part planner, part courier tracker, full-time person asking, “Has anyone seen my scissors?”

So if I glide past looking calm, please know I’m probably paddling under the counter — and very grateful you’re keeping us this busy. 🦢😅

🌺 Our Poppy Appeal Candle is back 🌺

We’ve been asked to help raise money for the Poppy Appeal again this year, and we’re honoured to be part of it. Thank you for making last year’s candles such a success — they sold out in just 24 hours!

Each candle comes with a handmade ceramic poppy magnet and a gentle blend of hyacinth, rose and soft jasmine: a little moment to pause, remember and honour those who served. 🕯️

We’ve made just 60 this time, so keep an eye out for details on how to get yours. Let’s make this year’s batch count.

THE CAULDRON’S EMPTY, THE SPOON’S ON STRIKE… AND WITCHES BREW IS FINALLY HERE! 🧙‍♀️

Witches Brew Fragrance has finally hit the shelves! Every pre-order is complete, the stirring spoon has requested annual leave, and—remarkably—no apprentices were turned into frogs. The eyebrows are mostly intact, too.

So, what’s in this bewitching brew? A zing of ginger and dark plum up top, vanilla and cinnamon swirling through the middle, then a cosy, earthy finish of patchouli, cashmere, amber and to***co leaf. Basically, autumn went on a mysterious little night out and came home smelling fabulous.

It’s now available in store and online!

IT’S OCTOBER. I’M TALKING ABOUT CHRISTMAS. PLEASE DON’T THROW A PUMPKIN AT ME. 🎃🎄😂

I know, I know… we’ve barely got our jumpers out and here I am mentioning advent calendars. But last year we sold out by November, so this is your friendly warning—not me trying to ruin spooky season.

This year, we’re making JUST 100 advent calendars! Not 100 and “a few more if Richard has a quiet afternoon”. One hundred. That’s the lot. 👀

Pre-orders open NEXT WEEK, so if you fancy counting down to Christmas the Wicks & Spritz way, get it in your diary. Set a reminder. Tell your partner. Send this to someone who needs a slightly less subtle gift hint.

Because “I’ll get one nearer Christmas” didn’t work out terribly well last year. 😂
