Part 2 💙✨. So, this was actually my first time trying this technique, immersing the saucer in water while drilling, which was actually a little bit harder than it looks!

I used a 30mm diamond drill bit to cut out the circle, then my glass grinder to smooth down those rough edges.

A wee touch of gold guildlane paint around the edge, and look what we’ve ended up with!

What do we turn it into?

A necklace? A brooch? Or maybe a wee pocket keepsake to carry around as a reminder that this too shall pass?

PART 1 💙✨

So I picked up these two plates in the charity shop for 50p each. Yep, a whole £1 for the pair! 😂

And of course, instead of leaving them alone, my wee brain started thinking what could I turn these into?

Now, I’ll not lie, I wasn’t even sure this idea was going to work! 🤣

But sure, where’s the fun in not giving it a go?

You know me by now I can’t resist giving something old a new lease of life! ♻️💕

WAIT! Don’t throw your vintage china away until you see this! 👀💍

If you’d told me this time last year that I’d be turning a broken retro Pyrex plate into jewellery, I’d have thought you’d lost the plot! 😂

But here we are!

It all started when I tried drilling holes in this gorgeous retro Pyrex plate and, well let’s just say it didn’t quite go to plan! 💥🤣

Now, a year ago, that would have been straight in the bin!

But instead, I thought, sure, it’s broken anyway what have I got to lose?!

And that one wee experiment has opened up a whole new world of possibilities! Now I’m looking at everything thinking, “Ooh, I wonder what I could turn THAT into?” 😂

Because I’ve learnt one thing

Just because it’s broken doesn’t mean its story is over! 🧡
