🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 A LITTLE BIT OF SCOTLAND, CUT FROM STEEL! 🌿🔥

Another exciting day in the AC Creative workshop, putting our xTool MetalFab through its paces! 🤩

Today's project? A stunning Scottish thistle, laser cut from 1mm carbon steel! ⚡

And just LOOK at that detail! 😍

From the delicate spikes of the thistle to the intricate patterns in the leaves, we're absolutely blown away by what this machine can achieve!

Carbon steel is a fantastic choice for projects like this because it's strong, versatile and perfect for intricate laser-cut designs!

It's amazing watching a plain sheet of steel transform into something so beautiful. And the best part? This is just the beginning of what we can create!

🔥⚡ WOW! We’re seriously impressed with this machine! ⚡🔥

Another day in the AC Creative workshop, and today it was time to put the xTool MetalFab’s cutting capabilities to the test! 🛠️

And WOW… we were absolutely blown away! 🤯

We were cutting through 1mm carbon steel, and we honestly couldn't believe just how easily the MetalFab sliced through it! 🔥✂️

Our mission today was pretty simple — cut down some larger sheets of steel to the right width so they would fit nicely inside the MetalFab for future projects.

Now, the clever thing about this machine is that it actually has a pass-through feature, allowing us to work with longer sheets of metal. But for today's little experiment, we just wanted to trim down the width.

And it certainly didn't disappoint! 😍

After testing out its impressive rust-removal capabilities yesterday, we're now getting stuck into the cutting side of things, and the possibilities are getting VERY exciting!

💡 Custom metal signs, decorative panels, brackets, bespoke metalwork, engineering components… our heads are already spinning with ideas!

We're only scratching the surface of what this machine can do, and we can't wait to show you what we create next!

⚡ RUSTY → REVIVED! ⚡

We’ve been having a bit of fun in the AC Creative workshop today with our xTool MetalFab… and giving some very rusty old metal a new lease of life! 👀

We took an old horseshoe, pickaxe and metal hook that had definitely seen better days and put the MetalFab’s laser cleaning capabilities to work.
And just LOOK at the difference! 🤩

Instead of hours with wire brushes, grinders and sanding discs, the laser works across the metal surface removing rust and contamination and revealing the metal underneath.

But this isn’t just handy for old tools lying around the shed…
🔧 Tools & workshop equipment. Restoring old spanners, hammers, clamps, vices and hand tools

🚜 Agricultural equipment – cleaning rusty components, brackets and machinery parts

🚗 Automotive projects – restoration work and preparing suitable metal components for repair or refinishing

🏗️ Fabrication & engineering – cleaning metal before welding, inspection, coating or further processing

⚙️ Oil & Gas / Energy – useful for suitable components, fabricated parts, flanges and metalwork where rust, oxidation, old coatings or surface contamination needs removed before inspection, repair or further work

🏡 Restoration projects – gates, brackets, ironwork, vintage tools and other metal items that deserve another life.

And the really satisfying bit? Watching years of rust disappear in front of you! 😍

We’re still putting the MetalFab through its paces and exploring just how many applications we can offer through AC Creative but today's results have definitely impressed us.

We’re all set up at Gordon Barracks this morning with a HUGE selection of things we’ve made at AC Creative… and we’ve brought some of the toys with us too! 😍

⚡ Our xTool F1 & F2 laser engravers are right here on the stand, so you can see what we do and chat to us about creating something completely personalised.
Today we’re showcasing laser engraving AND apparel printing, including personalised pet products, photo keyrings, cushions, slate engravings, chopping boards, coasters, clothing, gifts and loads more.

🐶🐱 And after the fantastic response to our personalised pet range, we’ve brought along some examples so you can see just how we can turn your own pet photo into something special.

🐾 Meet Kasha! 🖤🤎

Just look at that Rottie smile! 😍

This beautiful girl is Kasha, and we’ve turned her photo into her very own personalised acrylic keyring.

We started with our customer’s photograph, carefully removed the background, then used our xTool machines to UV print Kasha directly onto clear acrylic before precision cutting around her shape.

And it’s not just a flat photograph stuck onto acrylic!

✨ One side is beautifully smooth, clear and glossy.
✨ On the printed side, the UV ink is slightly raised, so you can actually feel the image with your fingertip.
✨ Tilt it in the light and you can see the texture of the print across Kasha’s fur, markings and even that big pink tongue! 🐶

The photos really don't do these justice. They're one of those products you need to hold in your hand to appreciate the detail.

We love that we can take a favourite photo sitting on someone's phone and turn it into a little keepsake they can carry around every day. ❤️
