A little beachcomb yesterday. a nice seabrick, plenty of plastic rubbish, some nice pottery and a beautiful kickup from a bottle base. I am so glad to see the sunshine returning, long may it last!)

Another Friday fave....no idea what this once was was but it's a fun find. some sort of handle or door bell/knocker? what do you think? 🩵🌊

I have no words for what is happening in Northern Ireland right now.

part 3 - are you still there? these are my seaglass beads. surprisingly, lots of reds and blues here, which would be some of the rarest seaglass colours to find, yet they are the most common. I love how they have held their shape and patterns after decades tumbling in the sand. 🌊🩵

Part 2 - my bracelet beads. these pieces are a mix of different images, on what seems to be ceramic. they each have a double thread, possibly charms that were individually purchased and threaded. lovely to find and I often wonder who lost them. all found on the same beach in the same area over the last decade.

some more from my collection, this time it is unusual little fragments. I have yet to find one that is complete...but perhaps one day? if anyone knows exactly what these were, please let me know in the comments 🩵🌊

a simple bottle base can become something so beautiful. These sea tumbled markings make the surface into something very wonderful 🩵🌊

Another Friday favourite, this time its not a bottle, rather it's an item linked to some of my favourite bottles that I've found. J Currie Bottling Co from Belfast. This old metal sign has spent decades buried in the sand. Parts of it have eroded but you can still make out the lettering. A wonderful find for sure, and I still haven't managed to clean it up. 🙈

Have you been to Orlock Point?

Between Groomsport and Donaghadee, this is one of my favourite coastal walks in Northern Ireland, with views to the Copeland Islands and Scotland.

When the gorse is in bloom, everything smells of coconut 🩵🌊

You can walk from here, all the way round to Ballyholme beach. Perfect for a trip this summer.
