✨ Y Sbor Aur ✨

Some pieces don't whisper of the past — they glow with it.

This striking vintage brass table lamp carries real character, from its ornate cast base to its wonderfully eccentric feather-trimmed shade.

Lit in the evening, it casts a warm golden light that feels more like atmosphere than illumination.

Not every treasure has to be ancient. Sometimes a piece earns its place simply by having presence.

Not one from my collection, but a fascinating piece of history shared by a friend.

This WWII-era Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) badge was recently recovered after decades hidden beneath the ground. The inscription translates to "For Work in the Protection of Germany", linking it to the German Labour Service of the 1930s and 1940s.

Whatever your views of the period, objects like this are powerful reminders of the stories that survive long after the people and events themselves have passed. Every mark, every scratch, and every trace of corrosion tells part of that journey.

History has a way of turning up when you least expect it.

Coastal shell table lamp – 35cm tall

Bit of a statement piece this one. Real shells built into the base with a soft fabric shade and feather trim. Gives off a really warm, cosy light.

Works perfectly – ideal for a bedside table or living room if you’re into that beachy/coastal look.

Good condition overall.

Antique Victorian Print – Penrhyn Arms Hotel Bangor – c.1870-1900– £70

Original 19th-century hand-coloured print showing the Penrhyn Arms Hotel in Bangor, overlooking the Menai Strait with boats and an early paddle steamer.
Produced around 1870–1900 by Henry Blacklock & Co. (Manchester & London).

Nice bit of local history — this building later became the first home of Bangor University, and only parts remain today.
Condition
• Glass is cracked (see photos)
• Print itself is intact
• Some age-related marks / staining as expected
• Frame is solid

Would suit someone happy to reframe it or keep it as is.
