I'll cut to the chase - this lovely table has got to go! So much so we've only gone and thrown this delectable oak bench into the mix... for nowt! A £6k dining set for £2.5k? Oh go on then.

Sadly a previous buyer let us down😬 which is kinda annoying in a way. On the upside though, one of you guys will reap the benefit and get not only a heavily discounted table but also this bench for free. Hoorah!

A quick post. Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest in our sale items (my bank holiday weekend was spent juggling cider at a local festival and about a million messages!). I tried to respond to everyone, if I missed you, please do try again 🙂.

Here's where we are at. Our very lovely Mr Morley table is the last man standing. A sale agreed yesterday has fallen through, so lucky for you guys this fella is up for grabs again and a big discount is to be had.

A big beast at 2400x900. Oiled English oak + painted English ash frames (Hopper by Little Greene Paint Co). Newly built and very very lovely indeed, but it needs to go!

List price for this would be £5.5k - we would entertain offers in the region of £3k (delivered and assembled within 150miles).

Why the price tag?

Well, quality is the number one. Table builds don't come any better, frankly. Expertly made from scratch here in our Devon workshop, it's hand jointed and hand finished. This ain't a few cheapo scaff boards thrown together, no siree bob! Built properly, made to last many lifetimes.

British grown timber. Unlike our competitors, we're lucky enough to have access to the native sustainable hardwood supply (which is scarce and doesn't come cheap!). From tree to table, this has approximately 150 embedded miles. It makes for a truly unique and genuinely sustainable piece.

And how about this fella?! Another bargain to be had here as we rejig our Studio space. 2100x900 solid English ash Skylark Blush stunner. The ash has mellowed beautifully and just looks lush in our 'Invisible Finish' which doesn't darken the wood like traditional oils. The frames have been finished in 'Obsidian Green' .

Retailing at £3200 for a commissioned piece, this fella has been on display for a little while now. Open to sensible offers. Delivery or collection available.

It seems we might have upset the internet gods. We were hacked. The second version of the website we'd spent months putting together suddenly disappeared. One that had been live for barely a month, was essentially stolen and held for ransom 🙁. Well, this is a new experience!

In the grand scheme of things, and in light of what many people are facing at the moment this seemed small beans. But, for our little business, this was potentially catastrophic. The website is our shop front, basically our means of speaking to the outside world. We'd put so much into it. Without it we're really not in a great place.

Thankfully, and after a heap of stress, our ace web developer worked his magic and managed to recover an older version of our site late last night tucked away on a server somewhere (exhale....). But we're all left with a lot of questions and yet more work to put things right we, and he, could do without. He definitely saved our bacon.

The reason why I attached this image was really to show what we actually are. Behind the smart website (when it's there), nice pics and branding we're pretty down to earth. A small furniture workshop, some decent folk with a few tools and some ideas trying to make a bit of a living with, we think, honesty and integrity. We're not flash, wealthy or have grandiose ideas above our station, but we care, a lot, about what we do and try to do things the right way. Nefarious attacks like this can kill a small business like ours, it's pretty simple.

We feel we got lucky and dodged a bullet.
