Peeling oak is not as hard as you think. Slice a corner of the oak to 2.5mm. Place a sheet of steel in the kerf. Clamp a pipe at the base of the cut heat for a couple of minutes with a wallpaper steamer. Bend around the pipe and clamp, then allow to cool and dry.

Not every piece of wood is ideal for bending. Knots and steep grain runoff cause issues, all you can do is clamp the affected area then glue when dry. Four of the six legs for the two loop tables required major fixes.
