Another recent install we’re proud of 👇

Amtico Signature Ratley Stone fitted in a bold herringbone layout, with Pale Concrete stripping set between each tile to really define the pattern.

This style of tile is usually laid square or in a broken bond — so taking it into a herringbone design completely transforms the look and makes it stand out.

Not your standard install… and that’s exactly the point.

You’ll notice in these pictures that the rooms aren’t finished yet – no paint, no furniture, no kitchen fitted. That’s because quite often we’re one of the first trades in on a project. Getting the flooring down early can make the space feel real straight away and gives other trades a clean, level surface to work from.

But… there are also times when it makes more sense to leave the flooring until the very last stage – for example, after decorating or a new kitchen has been installed. This avoids any risk of paint splashes, scratches, or damage from heavy appliances being moved around.

✅ Floor first: great if you want to see progress quickly and set the base for the whole design.
✅ Floor last: perfect if you want peace of mind that nothing will mark or damage your new floor while the rest of the work is going on.
