Darker colours can completely change the mood of a kitchen, especially when there’s enough light to let them breathe. The large island gives the room its natural centre, creating space to cook, sit down, and spend time together without making the kitchen feel crowded. Dark kitchens don’t have to feel dark.

The skylight completely changes how this room feels, bringing daylight down over the cabinetry and giving the deeper tones room to breathe. As the light moves through the day, the surfaces shift with it, making the kitchen feel brighter and far more open than the colour palette might suggest.
