It’s Volunteers’ Week and we couldn’t let it pass without a HUGE thank you to the wonderful BCK team of volunteers 🙏

This is the crew that makes it possible to create two amazing community meals EVERY WEEK!

From peeling spuds to setting tables, making cakes, chatting to guests, serving meals and of course the washing up, it would be impossible to pull it off without a stellar team of volunteers.

We could not wish for a warmer bunch of people who all work together to create something special.

Our team continues to grow and we love to welcome new volunteers along to our meals and events - sometimes as a one off, sometimes as a regular helper, we can always find the right job 😀

Our volunteers are at the centre of the community we’re building and are where the magic comes from ✨

Join us for our community meals every Wednesday (Radstock) and Thursday (Twerton) in June 🧡

We’ll be cooking lunch and chatting to delegates at Charity Conference & Expo 🧑‍🍳

And we can’t wait to the back with community workshops at the beautiful ! 🌳

We love making big, fresh salads at BCK, loads of colour, loads of crunch and just what your body wants when the sun is out. High water content food is where it’s at right now.

We don’t know exactly what’s on the menu tonight yet… but we do know it’ll be delicious!

Cook Like A Chef is one of our favourite courses to run!

It’s designed for teens and young adults and we work together at a team to create delicious dishes - learning new skills, trying new flavours and ingredients as we go.

Each course is slightly different, guided by what each group is interested in, want to learn and like to eat!

Thank you for having us back at the Southside Community Centre and to the young people who’ve spent time in the kitchen with us.

We celebrated the end of the programme with a foodie tour of Bath on Friday visiting some brilliant businesses in town and sampling some delicious food along the way!

Big news from Bath Community Kitchen headquarters this week - we have wheels!!

We cook, cater and host workshops all across Bath and the surrounding area and so far that has meant lots of loading and unloading crates of ingredients and boxes of equipment in and out of our team’s cars - pots, pans, hobs, bowls, mixers - you name it!

We don’t have a permanent kitchen space so this van will be something of a revolution - helping us move food, equipment and volunteers around and supporting us in bringing more people together.

It’s an electric van to keep our environmental impact as low as possible when we’re buzzing about and we’re hoping to add some BCK branding to it soon, so give us a wave if you see us out and about 👋

Our community meals are open to everyone, whether you’re coming for your first time or are coming back to catch up with new friends and enjoy a fresh, vegetarian meal cooked using surplus veg!
