How lovely is my view? A new customer has asked me to quilt her liberty quilt. It’s only her fourth quilt. Once it’s completed I can show the quilt in its full glory.

What a wonderful view today!
This is a customers quilt, made from Liberty fabric, even the backing.
I can not lie I’m petrified as the top was a 100 block kit £499 and it’s for the owners son and soon to be daughter in law’s wedding present.

Lynne is such a talented designer, accomplished at piecing and I get to finish some of her quilts.

The batting in this quilt was super soft and gave the quilting a little loft.
When is the next one Lynne?

I had the pleasure to quilt Sue Evans’ stunning quilt. You may recognise the blocks from Janet Clare’s block of the month in Todays Quilter. One of the blocks is personalised with BVI (British Virgin Islands) as Sue and her husband sailed there on the yacht Carpe Diem.
I added rope and feathers to the cortical washing’s and borders. I used a scroll design to mimic waves and hopefully complement Sue’s stunning quilt
