We welcome you to the start of our design boards feature. Here we will be sharing with you our design boards for clients rooms and then showing you the finished room design images. A bit like a before and after if you like.
Here we showcase a boys bedroom we created with a framed world map feature, a more industrial vibe aesthetic, some feature Buster + Punch ceiling lights and a leather desk chair. The windows were challenging to dress due to the angled ceilings, inward opening window and no space for a curtain pole, however, creative we were in presenting a fixed curtain idea with an internal curtain and on the adjacent walls, a cute fabric pelmet and Roman blinds to finish. All hand made.

How to create a design using Earthy tones, Relaxed living. Thoughtful design. 🌿

Design tip: Start with a neutral base and build depth through texture, think woven fabrics, soft linens, and natural finishes. Introducing muted greens or earthy tones helps bring a sense of calm and connection to nature, perfect for creating a restful environment.

This concept brings together soft, natural textures with a calming, grounded palette to create a bedroom that feels like a true retreat. Layered neutrals, organic materials, and subtle greenery work together to add warmth without overwhelming the space.

Modern living, redefined. 🖤✨

This transformation embraces a bold industrial theme while making smart, practical upgrades. The existing flooring was retained to reduce waste and maintain continuity, paired beautifully with brick tiles that bring warmth and texture to the space.

To tackle previous overheating issues, we used a heat reflective film which acted as a privacy screen too, helping regulate temperature while still allowing soft, diffused light to flow through. The result? A kitchen that’s not only stylish, but comfortable year round.

At Cranberryhome, we design with both aesthetics and real-life living in mind.

Kirsty joined Cranberryhome in March 2026, bringing a passion for interior design and a diverse, hands on background. From crafting bespoke furniture to designing handmade kitchens, she has developed a strong eye for detail and a love for beautifully balanced spaces.

Her time working overseas has also shaped her adaptable and thoughtful approach to design.

Say hello to Hugo – Founder & Design Director at Cranberryhome 👋

With a lifelong passion for design, Hugo has been creating beautiful, functional spaces since his early years – even starting out in landscape design as a teenager. Today, he leads Cranberryhome with a focus on intuitive, customer first interiors that blend modern ideas with timeless style.
A fully qualified UK House Doctor as well as studying Law and Interior Design, Hugo brings a unique mix of creativity, technical expertise and client insight to every project. From space planning to full scale renovations, he’s known for transforming homes into spaces that truly reflect how people live.
Hugo has also spearheaded Cranberryhome’s awards programme, helping the company achieve 5 International Property Awards, alongside multiple customer service and design awards at both local and national level 🏆
Beyond design projects, Hugo writes interior design articles and advises developers on their investments, particularly when it comes to marketing properties with furniture packages.
You might even spot him sharing his expertise at events like Grand Designs or featured in interior design publications ✨
When he’s not designing, Hugo finds inspiration through travel, enjoys a great coffee (and dark chocolate!), and can often be found running the scenic paths around Bedford 🏃‍♂️
