This is doublette, or double-sided crepe paper, manufactured by Werola in Germany.
It's a lovely paper to work with for making paper flowers.

These are some of the colours available on my website. The white/white is amazing for flowers such as anemones and wild roses plus it's perfect when you need to colour, dye or add features to petals to get the perfect botanical effects.

Added some paper daisies to the giant flower mix but I'm not happy with them (it's hot in the UK so I'm blaming the heat!). Will make some new ones along with some grasses that I've started to create.
I like the idea of my garden becoming a giant wild flower meadow, so what else should I add to the mix?

The daisy centres were made using German florist crepe, and the petals German doublette.

Just casually walking round my garden with a crepe paper cornflower over my shoulder, as you do.

We're expecting a hot bank holiday weekend here, so I'm off for a few cold adult beverages to start the long weekend. Hope you all have a good one!

Here's a rather large cornflower!

I made it alongside some normal sized cornflowers. There are slightly different techniques used for making normal sized flowers and the oversized versions. Usually large flowers don't work when using fine crepe paper but in this case I've used the same paper for both versions.

Giant paper flowers are wonderful statement pieces, and add a wow to any space, event or display. Available to buy or hire, just get in touch.

Giant dandelion made from crepe paper!

It's always great to make something a little different and on a different scale to my normal flowers. I've made a few daisies and other blooms to go with this one, along with some usual sized ones.

Work In Progress.

It's a lovely sunny day and I'm looking forward to the weekend, but in the meantime it's dandelion time!

Busy making paper flowers for my next exhibition and fair including something a little different.

Poppies are always a popular choice, along with peonies and sunflowers but I've got some wild flowers in progress too. All of these paper blooms were made from German florist crepe paper and German doublette

Flower Crown!

Simple flower crown with Icelandic poppies made from German crepe paper, and worn at a jaunty angle of course.

I'm pretty sure I'll be making more paper flowers crowns over the next few weeks/months - what flowers would you want on your crown?
