With the heatwaves over, my thoughts and excitement turns to Autumn and the changing seasons. Darker and more muted colours, lots of lovely dried materials and a chance to create in a different way. We have a range of wreath workshops over weekdays and weekends and our yearly pumpkin workshop -ready to book now.

Gorgeous dusky pinky purple bouquet for Debs last weekend..

Although I try to use as many seasonal flowers as possible - when your bride has a fav colour and the English roses aren’t quite performing at the right times, I will buy a few specials stems to supplement a colour scheme. Another weekend, another flower crown hen do! This time at the lovely in Tiffield - the perfect venue for the girls to relax and enjoy the grounds filled with special spaces, art installations and pretty flowers. Such a pleasure to join the girls on their special weekend- they were planning to wear them out for dinner in the evening and I can’t wait to see the photos!

What a perfect day peony picking at .secret.farm. This week it was a lot easier to find the perfect stems as the colour shone across the field. I chose a few big blooms of coral sunset just for me to enjoy this weekend , the rest will be going out tommorrow for subscription customers or bunches picked to order.

We had a wonderful day on Friday christening our new workshop space. With buckets of locally grown flowers and some special stems to pick from the beds, our guests made beautiful small arrangements followed by tea and cake. We had a granddaughter with her grandma , mums and daughters, 3 generations celebrating a special birthday and a local lady on her own wanting to try something new.

We were trialling a new cheaper shorter workshop to try to make these experiences accessible to more people.
This was definitely a big success and had some lovely feedback about the setting, format, timings and cost.

We have a few more of these sessions set up over the summer - Friday 5th June, Friday 10th July- 10am, 2 pm and 5pm. Come and join us for a special session.
