We stock an impressive range of patchwork and quilting fabrics, dressmaking fabrics, needlework supplies, beading, embellishments as well as yarn and knitting supplies. Looking for a sewing machine? We stock Pfaff and Janome sewing machines, and our experienced staff will take you through t

he process of finding the right one for you. Once you purchase your machine you will also get in-store vouchers and a 1 hour lesson so you can get the most out of your new machine. We have two self contained and fully functional workshops where we hold regular and one day classes so you can learn everything from patchwork and quilting, beading, felting or mixed media. Want to stay all day? Why not stay for lunch in our very own coffee shop 'O for Coffee' that has a full lunch menu of hot and cold food and well as freshly made cakes, scones and hot drinks. Whether you're sewing for yourself, a partner, family member, or friend, this workshop will guide you through the process of making a beautifully constructed shirt using Geraldine's professionally drafted pattern.

Confused by your overlocker? Still avoiding your coverstitch machine because the threading looks intimidating? This workshop is designed to change that.

Join Geraldine Sykes on Saturday 6 June 2026 for a hands-on day learning how to confidently use your overlocker and/or coverstitch machine in a friendly, supportive environment.

During the workshop you will:
• Learn how to thread your machine correctly
• Understand tensions and how to adjust them for different fabrics and threads
• Experiment with a variety of fabrics
• Practise hemming and finishing seams professionally
• Build confidence using your machine for future sewing projects

Whether you’ve recently bought a machine, inherited one, or simply want to improve your dressmaking skills, this workshop will help take the fear out of using these fantastic tools.

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with practical skills, greater confidence, and a much better understanding of what your machine can do.

Join us on Tuesday 11 August 2026 for the delightful Beach Hut Clay Workshop with Michaela Hrenova and enjoy a relaxing morning of creativity, clay, and seaside inspiration.

Using air-drying clay, you’ll learn simple hand-building techniques to sculpt your very own decorative Beach Hut to take home. Michaela will guide you step-by-step through shaping, joining, carving, and adding charming details such as doors, windows, textures, and seaside touches — making this the perfect workshop for complete beginners as well as those who simply fancy trying something new.

Whether you love classic seaside stripes, weathered coastal charm, or bright colourful designs, you’ll be encouraged to make your Beach Hut completely unique to you.

ALL MATERIALS AND TOOLS ARE INCLUDED, so just bring yourself, a small box to safely transport your creation home, and enjoy a friendly and welcoming creative session.

As we’ll be using air-drying clay, your Beach Hut will be ready to take home the very same day. Once fully dry at home, you can paint and seal it if you wish — and Michaela will have beautifully painted samples on display for inspiration.

Our next 💗 Helpful Hearts 💗 session is on the 4th July 2026

Join Frances Bulmer for this beautiful FREE charity event and help us make a real difference, one stitch at a time.

We’ll be creating soft, supportive heart cushions for breast cancer patients at the Primrose Unit – designed to bring comfort and relief after surgery.

🧵 What to expect:
A warm, welcoming day of sewing, sharing, and supporting an incredible cause. Whether you come on your own or with friends, you’ll be part of something truly meaningful.

🕙 Time: 10am – 4pm

🧶 What to bring:
• Your sewing machine
• 100% cotton fabric (minimum 25cm for cushion covers)
• White cotton for inner pillows (craft cotton, sheeting or lawn)
• Toy stuffing (polyester, recycled or natural filling)
