Hello!

We are Sofia and Leanne, and The Bristol Stitchery was set up in 2015 after many evenings and weekends sewing together. We both fell pregnant in 2015 (albeit 8 months apart), and found that we both shared frustrations of not finding the right maternity clothes in the right fabrics, and baby clothes that we really loved. We realised that we could make awesome clothes for our little ones and wanted

to share this with other mums-to-be too! That’s why we set up The Bristol Stitchery. Taking what we know and love about sewing, and what we’ve learnt and love about little people, we decided to offer other parents, parents-to-be and carers the chance to try something different, make some new friends and get back some all-important ‘you’ time…

We'll be offering classes where you’ll be shown how to make unique, organic babywear that your little one will be proud to dribble on. And you don’t even need to know your way around a needle and thread. We’ll take you through it, step by step and at your pace. Because most of all we want you to sit back, put your feet up (on a pedal!) and discover the joys of sewing and having a good old natter.
