Packed orders this week — and honestly, even 2 years & thousands of orders later, the anxiety doesn’t really go away.
Every time I’m sealing a box with something new in it, there’s this quiet voice that goes — will they like it? Will it land the way I hoped? Three years of doing this and that voice is still there. I’ve just learned to pack through it (with a podcast in the background, these days I’m listening to Mel Robbins)
The Kraft paper goes down first. Then the piece, wrapped like it is a gift— because it is, from our artisans to you! Then the wee cloth tape my mum cuts and sews by hand. And then there are layers of bubble wrap. It all takes time I probably don’t have, and I do it anyway.
I think about who’s on the other end a lot. The person who ordered at midnight because they finally found the thing they’d been looking for. Yea late night orders are a thing! And there is no sweeter way to wake up to those notifications!
That’s who I’m packing for. Every time.
New pieces went out this week — some for the first time. Fingers crossed.
