Hey friends, I’m really sorry I’ve been away and a bit rubbish getting back to messages for the last couple of weeks.
Unfortunately my little man Poe was suddenly diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) when he lost movement from his waist down and had to undergo emergency surgery to try to restore the paralysis in his back legs.
Sadly this is common in the dachshund breed but is a serious life-altering condition which will take lots of physio and care to live with.
As you can see, he’s been making amazing progress and the movement is slowly but surely coming back into his legs thanks to the wonderful care of and their amazing surgical, nursing and recovery teams…really I don’t know where we would be without you ❤️
Honestly after losing Padme in December, this has been incredibly emotional and stressful time worrying he might not be ok, and I really needed to take a break from socials etc while getting him the support he needs.
If I haven’t gotten back to you, please know it was not intentional, I just had really bad burn out, and would love for you to reach out again and I’ll be happy to help.
