Sad news came this week following the announcement from Thorntons that their retail store estate will not reopen when coronavirus lockdowns are lifted. Our thoughts are with all the retail staff whose jobs are reported to be at risk just as imminent measures to ease restrictions start to offer a tiny glimmer of light at the end of a very dark tunnel. We remain hugely proud of the design work we have carried out with the Thorntons team over recent years across their retail estate which has manifest itself in some stunning refurbishments and new stores. To everyone concerned we send our very best and sincere wishes for the future.

This afternoon we are reminiscing on one of our residential projects of last year, where we were tasked with thinking outside of the box. This earth-sheltered design deals with exposure to the elements on one side, whilst reducing impact on the natural landscape.

Crittal style partitions and doors… we absolutely love them here at Fisch, and we are so glad our Client wants to incorporate them into the rear extension of her gorgeous home! Such a great feature.

Our Interior Designers often turn their hand to graphic design, working with clients both old and new, producing internal signage and wayfinding graphics. We produced this for Derbyshire based, Haarlem Mill, who we worked with back in 2017, in order to create their wedding venue in a Grade II listed warehouse. They wanted a graphic piece to help their visitors understand the space properly when wedding planning.

We’ve given this house a new lease of life through these sketch proposals. Adding a new porch to the front of the property gives it a real focal point as previously the garage stood proud. With a few internal tweaks, we’ve been able to make the most of the space in this home in the Derbyshire Dales.

An ongoing commercial project of ours looks at combining several small rooms into a much larger multifunctional event space which can cater for around 60 persons with a self-serve bar. We’ve really enjoyed working on the visuals for this one.
