Product comparison…
The Bose S1 Pro vs The GoSound 800.
As we sell both of these portable speakers, this is a completely unbiased opinion, and is based on an overall value for money point of view.
The Bose S1 Pro is highly regarded as the best small and most versatile speaker around. It’s renowned for excellent sound quality and portability, and we wouldn’t disagree with any of that. In fact, we’d also argue that it is probably the best small rechargeable speaker on the market. However, it’s not the only option available and not everyone wants to pay up to £700 for the Bose.
So, let’s have a look at, in our opinion, a speaker that is based on the S1 but offers a brilliant value for money alternative, the GoSound 800!
The GoSound 800 plugs in and chargers in the same way as the Bose. It’s got Bluetooth and 3 channels all with independent volume control, so you have complete control over anything you connect. Perfect for playing music and using a mic at the same time. It has a battery indicator so you how much charge the speaker has, it has a Bass Boost, and is just as portable weighing in at only 6.9kg.
Power and quality wise, the S1 comes out on top, as it should being 3 times more expensive, but the GoSound still offers brilliant performance and is super punchy!
As we’ve alluded to above, the biggest difference is in the price tag. The Bose sells at around £600-£700, whereas the GoSound is currently just £199 with free delivery.
So, if you want the Bose brand name and don’t mind paying for it, then go for it and buy the brilliant Bose S1 Pro+, but if you’re looking for Bose styling at a fraction of the cost, then the GoSound is the one to get!

I am a yoga instructor who has been researching headsets for quite some time.
When I came across Sound Dynamics and read the reviews I was sold. When it arrived, I was impressed with the packaging and the quality, but nothing could compare to the amazing sound while actually using it. I highly recommend!!
