The fireplace has been knocked through today and the hearth is in. That’s the last of the messy work, still living in a total sh****le but can start to see the end result (sort of). Plastering and cladding next, then the log burner 🔥

With a very tight budget on this renovation, I couldn’t afford the light shades I really wanted. They were £150 each. I ordered £40 oversized velvet shades from Dunelm and bought fabric glue and fringing and voila, same result for a fraction of the cost! Do you like them?
