***AN ANNOUNCEMENT***

We were due to trade at our ‘local’ quilt show later this week - the Scottish Quilt Show at the SECC in Glasgow.

BUT we’ve had to cancel due to an unfortunate and very untimely stay in hospital for one of us, so we just can’t be there. We’re very sad - it was definitely not an easy decision to make - it is our local show but health must always come first.

All being well, we’ll have a new website ready to launch in a couple of months’ time, more quilts to display, show off bolts of gorgeous flannel and other fabrics we have in stock, and Festival of Quilts will be here before we can count to ten.

We’re still here folks - quietly working away behind the scenes.

Debbie has recently finished a cracker of a quilt - saying it’s gorgeous, beautiful, or it’s a stunner all seem inadequate - this one (especially when it’ll be on display on our stand at the upcoming Scottish Quilt Show) will just make you stop in your tracks 😍. You might think it’s just ‘another’ of our Cornflower quilts but it’s a very special one.

We’ll save the full reveal until Glasgow but here we have Jo (aka LouLouRioux) controlling Humphrey to elevate this quilt’s already beautiful pieced work to becoming a knock-out. 🥰

In the spirit of late night shopping next week, we would like to tell you all we will be open Monday 24th, Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th Nov 11am till 7pm to allow any of you working to come up and visit our shop.
We have lots of quilting supply’s and some gorgeous quilting fabric to fill your quilting needs. We have just taken delivery off 108’ (backing) flannel which if you know us you well you’ll know we can’t get very often.

This is me (Kim) EVERY time I see and read an FPP pattern as much as I love the look of the end result. After all these years of quilting and many more years of dressmaking before quilting, the technique of Foundation Paper Piecing just fries my brain 🤯🤯🤯.

I’m picking her up from the airport on Sunday so it’s an opportunity to debrief her, aka give her a grilling and loot about her luggage looking for the treat(s) she might have bought back for me 😂.

Well done Moda Fabrics United Notions team/family - if it were possible read someone’s excitement, enthusiasm, and exhaustion in a message then I’ve read hundreds of them in just the past few days from Debbie. My heart is full, my creativity is overflowing, and I’m so grateful for the chance to learn, connect, and be inspired.
Getting to spend time with the incredibly talented Robin Pickens, Vanessa from Lella Boutique, Heather Briggs, and Jenelle Kent (just to name a few!) was an absolute highlight and inspiring 🌟
So many beautiful fabrics, fresh ideas, and wonderful conversations — Moda, you outdid yourselves once again! 🙌🎉
You can all ask me about the dinosaur and unicorn later 😉
