A lot of people mistake my work for using cheap seed beads
I assure u I wish I could get away with cheaper beads but I use delica beads due to there similar sizes so my work Lines up and the colours are exact . I love doing the beading and the work that goes into them is many many hours of individual sewing . The thread I use is to the highest standard too.
These are very expensive for small tiny amounts and usually only come in 5grams unless u pay and order more.
Miyuki Delica beads are high-precision, cylindrical Japanese glass seed beads renowned for their extreme consistency in size, shape, and color.
Favored by artists for bead weaving, they have large holes for multiple thread passes, fit together without gaps, and come in over 1,250 colors (11/0 size), often used for pe**te and loom work. I don’t use a loom I hand sew each one together using pe**te or brick stitch.
Here are key facts about Delica beads:Precision & Shape: Unlike traditional round seed beads, Delicas are perfectly cylindrical with thin walls, allowing them to snap together like tiles, creating a smooth, even finish. Most Popular Size (11/0): The most common size is 11/0, measuring approximately 1.6mm in diameter and 1.3mm in length, with a 0.8mm hole.Large Thread Holes: They feature large holes relative to their size, making them ideal for complex projects requiring multiple thread passes.Variety and Codes: Miyuki produces over 1,250 colors in 11/0 Delicas alone, with codes (e.g., DB0010 for black) that make finding specific, consistent colors easier.Major Types & Finishes:Duracoat: A durable coating that lasts longer, protecting the bead from fading or scratching.Silver-Lined: Provides high brilliance.Opaque, Matte, and Metallic: A vast range of finishes are available to create different textures.Usage: Best suited for bead weaving techniques, including Pe**te stitch, Brick stitch, and loom weaving.
