Oxton Open Studios - a great weekend was enjoyed by all, we had many visitors and the weather stayed fine. A big thank you to everyone who visited us. We have made a donation to Wirral Food Bank from the artists involved and we look forward to welcoming everybody again in 2026.

Studio Four is on Templemore Road and houses the work of and .

The street has become a shining light for raising money in charity in recent years so worth returning back in the evening to see the full on Christmas extravaganza from the neighbouring gardens.

Very close to studio 3 with and to the Williamson Aft Gallery. Mike’s studio@is in his home and it is his first time on the OOS.

Park on side streets but be mindful of neighbours access.

Closest train station is Birkenhead Park.

Oxton Open Studios - THIS WEEKEND, our studios are now ready to welcome you.
You may like to plan your visit to the 4 studios as a walking tour, start and finish where ever suites you, use the map in the leaflet.
Oxton village has a number of cafés for refreshments (open both days) or The Williamson Art Gallery (open Saturday).
You may also wish to visit Village Market in the Rafa Club, Colombia Road on Sunday 9-12.
Unfortunately, Studio 5 is not open this year, we look forward them opening again in 2026.

A little more business minded post for our final instagram post before the event starts at 10 am tomorrow. According to a quick search online “ Black Friday, originated in the US, falling on the day after Thanksgiving (the fourth Thursday in November) and marks the official start of the Christmas shopping rush. Originally tied to brick-and-mortar stores, it has become the busiest shopping day in the US since around 2005.”

😃But we recommend that you hold off from spending online anddo some of your purchasing locally and in person with the 11 artists of the tour this weekend. 🛍️The benefits are that you see what you get before you buy and met the person who made, money remains in the local economy, potentially reduces air miles. The artists of the four venues have a wide range of craft and art items with a wide range of prices. From £ to £££.
