✨ 25 years of Animal Crossing! ✨

That's a long time, and quite a few games! I still remember my first Animal Crossing game, it was Wild Word on the DS 🌏 I fell in love with Maple the Bear as she was my first villager 🐻 I still have a soft spot for her now! 🥺

I've played City Folk on the Wii, New Leaf and New Horizons too. What was your first AC game and who was your first villager? (If you can remember 🤣)

I always LOVE making them into plushies, and giving them Amiibos so you can scan their little feet 🐾😭

🔥 You're Toast Gnorc! 🔥

It's double trouble, what's better than one Spyro!?
Two of themmm! 🙌🏻

This dragon will always be an absolute favourite of mine to make, this time round I decide to update some features to make him even more badass. Over the years since I made my first Spyro, I've learned new techniques, shapes and methods when it comes to my crochet and it was about time I used them with this guy!

He's had a remodel in the following areas:
✨ Feet (added toes & claws)
✨ Wing Panels are improved (crocheted to the perfect size & shape instead of felt)
✨ Head Spikes (also crocheted instead of felt)
✨ Tail Tip (new shape & size)
✨ Head/Snout (I altered the shape to give him a more prominent feature with the cheeks etc)

It might sound like a lot, however these tweaks are only small individually but together they make a HUGE difference 😍
And trust me when I say, without these features Spyro is not Spyro.

Have you ever revisited something you've made and decided to give it a well deserved update? 😊

🎶 Spiderduck, Spiderduck, does whatever Spiderduck does....🎶

Did I tie him to my washing line to get some Spidey pictures? Yes. Yes, I did 🧦

Do you find it creepy or cute? I think it turned out super sweet! 🥺

Like I said in my previous posts about this creation, I was asked to make this based on an idea that was conjured up by an AI image. I reckon I got pretty close right? I made him up as I went, and obviously my version is much better considering I made it with my own hands 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

For those of you who were trying to guess the animal combination... I give you the face of a duck! 🦆

So that's one of them, what do you think the other one could be? 🤔 How many legs could a duck need I wonder? 👀🕷️

I had a lot of fun making this, and I think it would be really cool to see it in all sorts of colour combinations in the future 😍
Can't wait to show you the final thing!

2 Animals, 1 Plushie...

What combination do you think I'm making? 🤔

These are the main colours, and I will be using the eyes at the bottom! It's a creepy/cute mash up!
I'll give you a clue, think of 1 animal that the yellow could be associated with 👀 and not as it's real life colour...

I have been asked to make 2 animals merged into one based on an AI picture my commissioner produced, whilst I'm against the use of AI and how it affects the world and artist/small businesses, when I am presented with something like this it is out of my hands. The only thing I can do about it is create the plush in as much likeness as possible.

And I'm not going to lie, I'm loving how it's turning out 🥺🤣

It's hard to believe sometimes just how many things I've actually crocheted since picking up my hook for the first time 🧶

This tub is FULL (can't even get the lid on) of plushies & keyrings that I made over a year ago for the opening of my first ever online Ko-Fi Shop 🙌🏻🛍️

Some have found homes, but the majority are patiently sat waiting to be adopted 🥺

That being said, I might end up using them for another purpose... In person things!
Which means I should probably start making other bits for online to replace them. Gahhh I've only got two hands though, if only I was an octopus or something. Imagine all the wool and stuffing everywhere 🤣🐙

If you could have anything in the world in a plush form, to the point where you saw it online and there was an instant NEED, what would it be? 🤔

Sometimes *most of the time* it's all about trusting the process, something that I do struggle with from time to time. But I have to tell myself to push through because a lot of the creations I make don't start to really come together or look right until a lot of the elements are done.

A prime example.... Spyro! Our dragon friend looks like a bloody alien doesn't he!? 😅🤣

But once he's got his grump on he's the badass we all know and love! 😈

I've had a couple of commissions for him, and I've been tweaking some of his features along the way. He's got new feet now with claws, I changed the shape of his snout, and I will be adding some spikes along his back instead of just on his head.

It's these things that you don't really seem to think about when you make them over and over again, but it's these things that show just how far you've come when it comes to crocheting. The little things add up! 🥺🧶

I'm also trying to post more behind the scenes/in progress pics for you all to get a bit more of an insight 😊

I made a tiny creation for once, in the form of Patrick Star! ⭐
I had a lot of fun with him as he's pocket size and so cute 🥺

But now he makes his journey to the US where he will definitely be having all the fun times and adventures! 😊👍🏻

These are just a couple of Fidget Friends that have come and gone from my crochet hook 🧶
And I am loving the colour combinations/themes!

I've been working on some really fun commissions since the new year, and there's only a couple left to finish up! Then I will be focusing on something special that I'm really excited about 👀

Just an innocent Nun out for a pleasure cruise... Nothing to see here! 👀🐧🛥️⛪

This "Nun-expected" guest is all stitched up and ready for his next heist, he's traded the museum for a surprise takeover.... of his new home 🤨

So far he's infiltrated the hearts of his gift bearer and receiver, dressed in his masterful disguise he nearly fooled us! 🙈

But...we all know he's still up to no good, one silent stare at a time...😉
