A first look at what we’ve been designing for Take Aim, coming soon to Derby 👀🎯

This brand-new competitive socialising venue is coming to Derby’s Cathedral Quarter, and it’s certainly given us plenty to play with creatively!

Think traditional British country house charm, but with a playful twist.

Take Aim will bring countryside pursuits into the city, with interactive clay shooting, golf putting, great food and a bar designed for everything from family afternoons to evenings out with friends.

For the interiors, we’ve leaned into that countryside influence without taking it too literally. Rich green panelling, warm timber finishes, traditional artwork, statement lighting and a few unexpected details all help give the space its own personality 😍

We particularly love the little nods dotted throughout, such as the flying pheasant lights 😄

This was such a fun concept to get stuck into, and we can’t wait to see these visuals become a reality! ✨

Celebrating three years of Katie at Copper & Ash! ✨

In that time, Katie has become such an integral part of the business, bringing her creativity, eye for detail and expertise to so many of the projects we’ve worked on.

From those first conversations and concepts in the studio right through to seeing the finished spaces come to life, her influence can be seen across the business.

But beyond the projects, Katie is simply a huge part of the team and everything that makes Copper & Ash what it is. Three years has certainly given us plenty of reasons to raise a glass 🥂

Happy 3 years, Katie! We’re very lucky to have you, and here’s to plenty more projects, big ideas and good times ahead! 🎉

A bathroom design with a little more personality 👀

We’re back with another look at this special hotel design project!

A rich, tonal palette gives the space warmth, with patterned wallpaper, statement tiling and traditional panelled detailing layered together throughout. The curved mirrors and sculptural lighting introduce a more playful edge, while the brass accents add a refined finishing touch.

Even in the smallest spaces, every detail has an opportunity to add to the overall guest experience! 🚾

We’ve built a long-standing partnership with the brilliant team at Strategy Plus - Digital Marketing Agency, working together across a number of projects to make sure the brand and the physical space feel like they belong together from day one 💫

Strategy Plus take care of the brand side, from creating the identity, colours and tone of voice through to building and supporting the brand’s online presence. Then we take those foundations and translate them into the physical environment through the interior, materials, finishes, lighting, signage and all the details that shape how the space actually feels.

It means we can work collaboratively from the early stages, rather than treating the brand and interior as two completely separate pieces of the puzzle 🙌

Good design is about making a space work harder, without making it feel that way ✨

For this hotel breakfast room, the existing space had plenty of natural light and character, but there was an opportunity to rethink how it looked, flowed and functioned.

With the hotel being a Georgian listed building, it was also important that our design respected the history of the property. We introduced subtle nods to Georgian design, including the ceiling rose, traditional detailing and considered proportions, while bringing the space into a more contemporary hospitality setting.

A new layout makes better use of the available floor space, with a dedicated breakfast station, bespoke arched joinery, layered lighting, parquet-style flooring and a carefully balanced mix of colours and textures.

The result is a warmer, more inviting breakfast room that works for today's guests while still feeling connected to the building it belongs to 😍

Rethinking what a mobility showroom can feel like ✨

This isn’t about rows of products and clinical lighting. It’s about creating a space that feels considered, comfortable and easy to navigate, whether someone wants to explore at their own pace or be guided through it.

There’s a real focus on experience here 👇
Being able to try, test and understand products in a way that builds confidence, from the central test track through to more relaxed consultation areas.

Warmer materials, softer tones and clear, simple displays all play their part in shifting the perception completely. Less functional, more human 🤝

A really interesting one for us, and a new sector we’ve enjoyed getting into. More to come!

A strong fitness space should feel motivating before the workout even begins 💪

These visual concepts explore how stronger brand identity, clearer zoning and a more immersive atmosphere can transform the experience of a wellness or fitness space.

From the high-energy spin studio to the strength and cardio areas, each zone has its own character while still feeling connected as one environment. Lighting is used to build intensity and guide movement, while the layout gives every activity the space it needs to work safely and comfortably.

There’s also plenty happening behind the visuals, durable material choices, practical circulation, acoustic thinking and flexibility for different classes, equipment and future changes 🙌

That’s what Copper & Ash brings: senior design experience that shapes the full member experience, from first impression to final rep 👏

Take a peek at this new moodboard for a student living concept 😍

We're exploring a softer, more relaxed approach to shared spaces, somewhere that feels just as comfortable for studying as it does for switching off.

Natural materials, warm tones and plenty of planting to bring a sense of calm, balanced with moments of colour and energy throughout.

Spaces to focus, spaces to connect, and everything in between 👏
