I’ve heard a lot of people say the kitchen is the heart of the home, but for me I think it’s the dining room! Inviting people to come and sit around your table is the place where we laugh, cry, share, play games, build relationships, work through problems, and write memories day by day. It’s not secret to anyone that I love pink and use a lot of it in my designs, but to me it’s the perfect staple colour for any scheme because it can adapt to any style or vibe! Curated Interior’s article ‘The Ultimate Guide to Decorating with Pink’ wrote the above quotes in their research into the psychology of pink, and I couldn’t of put it better myself 👏

Lilys and Pumba’s project is proof that you don’t need to spend loads of money or do any crazy renovations to achieve the look you want! They started with a guest room they found uninspiring (pics 2&3), and asked me to create a space that felt both fun and comfortable for their guests

When Jess and Usman moved into their new home, they wanted to turn it from 100 shades of grey and brown to a warm, cosy, colourful space.
My original plan for the room included midcentury style pieces, earthy green and peaceful pink and mauve colours. We adapted as we went to ensure we had enough storage space and to get maximum comfort, and ended up building some built in shelves either side of the fireplace and painting them in this beautiful shade of green. They had a custom coffee table made from a sign they had at their wedding, so we swapped the mid century feel for a more rustic vibe so that the space would feel more cohesive. J&U paid for the premium package, so they didn’t have to worry about any of the painting or finding contractors to fit the shelves etc.
