I have always loved to create things and it is a standing joke that I was advised ,in secondary school , to give up art due to my inability to draw . When I found glassnpainting I fell in love with the colours, the light it creates, its' many uses.I love the way glass can be re-purposed-a brulee dish can become a trinket bowl ,a mini coffee jar can become a cottage, a lighthouse, or a beach hut in which to keep sewing items. The designs on my glass are from my life. The cherry blossoms are from my home town,my dad's garden-used in my wedding bouquet, ,and from a trip to Japan when I retired from the day job. The corn poppies are from the fields surrounding my cousin's Croft and the smiddy where Dad was brought up, the pansies from Mum's borders ,and the puffins from my stays at Dunnet Head lighthouse. Please have a browse through my page and photos and let me know what you think.
