🍂🤎 EMMA & RYAN | A BEAUTIFUL AUTUMNAL WEDDING AT BARTLE HALL 🤎🍂

From the grandeur of Bartle Hall’s iconic staircase to the moment Emma and Ryan walked out as the new Mr & Mrs, their wedding day was filled with beautiful flowers, unforgettable moments and all the romance of autumn. ✨

Our one-minute film captures the excitement as the bridal party makes its way down the magnificent staircase, with little glimpses of the floral magic awaiting them.

Ryan wore a handsome white Rose boutonnière with a burnt-orange bud, a subtle seasonal detail that complemented the autumnal palette beautifully. 🤍🍁

For the ceremony, we created spectacular, vibrant floral pedestals at the foot of the aisle, accompanied by glowing hurricane lamps nestled amongst fresh flowers to create a wonderfully romantic setting.

Emma’s lovely mum wore a beautiful handbag corsage, while her bridesmaids carried gorgeous bouquets filled with Roses, Orchids, Leucospermum, Freesias, Dahlias, Berries and so much more. 🌹

And then, our beautiful bride! Emma’s breathtaking cascading bouquet brought together all the rich colours, textures and movement of the season, creating a truly unforgettable finishing touch.

As the enormous doors opened, the bridesmaids followed by Emma made their way into the ceremony to begin their forever. 🤎

Massive congratulations to Emma & Ryan as they emerged as the new Mr & Mrs! 🥂 We were absolutely delighted to play a part in such a special day.

But our floral story didn’t end at the ceremony…

One of the wonderful things about thoughtful wedding flower design is being able to transform your arrangements throughout the day. For Emma and Ryan’s reception in the beautiful Coaching Barn, we repurposed their statement floral pedestals and wreaths as gorgeous table centrepieces, while the registrar’s table design became their stunning sweetheart top table arrangement. 🌿✨

The result? A beautifully coordinated celebration, with the flowers continuing to make an impact long after the ceremony had finished.

🥹🌻 THE MOMENT RACHEL SAW HER MEANINGFUL WEDDING FLOWERS FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME… ❤️

There is something incredibly special about watching a bride receive her wedding bouquet. The anticipation, the excitement and that first glimpse of the flowers she’s been dreaming about, knowing that every bloom has been chosen with love and meaning. 💐✨

Our lovely Vicky had the absolute pleasure of presenting Rachel with her beautiful bridal bouquets at Bartle Hall Hotel and what a special collection of flowers they were! ❤️

Rachel’s breathtaking cascading bouquet wasn’t simply designed to complement her wedding dress. It was created to tell a story — the story of Rachel and Stuart, their lives, their memories and the things that mean the most to them. 🥹💕

Packed to bursting with an incredible collection of fresh flowers, this luxurious cascade featured radiant Sunflowers, rich Burgundy, Gold and Burnt Orange Roses, dramatic Orchids, magnificent Dahlias, Montbretia, Thistles and striking Grevillea.

Beautiful natural textures came from Ferns and Oak, while fragrant Rosemary and delicate blue Oxypetalum, affectionately known as Winter Forget-Me-Nots, added even more personal meaning. 🌿💙

And there were lots more beautiful flowers and thoughtful details besides, all carefully brought together to create a bouquet as individual as Rachel herself.

We absolutely adore creating wedding flowers that go beyond beautiful colour combinations. Getting to know our couples and understanding their stories allows us to create something truly personal — flowers that celebrate treasured relationships, hold special memories and become part of the story of their wedding day. ❤️

🌻❤️ MORE THAN JUST A BOUQUET… A STORY OF LOVE, LIFE & MEANING. ❤️🌻

Some wedding bouquets are beautiful, but others hold a much deeper meaning. Rachel’s breathtaking cascading bouquet was one of those truly special creations, with flowers chosen to represent important elements of her and Stuart’s lives. 🥹💕

We absolutely love creating wedding flowers that tell a couple’s unique story, and Rachel’s bouquet was a wonderful example of just how personal floral design can be.

Packed to bursting with an extraordinary collection of beautiful blooms, this glorious cascade was a celebration of colour, texture, sentiment and symbolism. ✨

🌻 Radiant Sunflowers brought their unmistakable golden warmth.
🌹 Luxurious Roses in Burgundy, Gold and Burnt Orange created rich, romantic autumnal tones.
🌺 Dramatic Orchids and magnificent Dahlias added elegance and depth.
🌿 Striking Grevillea, Thistles, Montbretia, Ferns and Oak brought wonderful natural textures and character.
🌱 Fragrant Rosemary added another meaningful touch.
💙 And delicate Oxypetalum, affectionately known as Winter Forget-Me-Nots, brought a particularly beautiful finishing detail.

Alongside these gorgeous flowers, we incorporated lots more besides, carefully bringing everything together to create a lavish, flowing cascade that was bursting with personality.

Every stem had its place, every colour contributed to the overall design, and every meaningful detail helped make this bouquet uniquely Rachel’s. ❤️

✨🤍 AN ENCHANTED CELEBRATION OF LOVE 🤍✨

Some weddings are extra special, and this weekend we had the enormous privilege of creating magical, beautifully textured floral designs for our gorgeous niece Holly and her beautiful new wife, Leigh. ❤️

At the wonderfully intimate barn venue , their celebration was filled with personality, meaning and so much love.

Holly & Leigh exchanged their vows on the balcony, framed by two magnificent Enchanted ‘Groot’ Trees. 🌿✨ We dressed these enchanting trees with green Gomphocarpus, sculptural Proteas, Hydrangeas, Spanish Moss, Beech and French Ruscus, bringing together wonderful botanical textures and shades of green. Candlelit orbs hung from the branches like fireflies, creating the most magical atmosphere.

Garlands of fresh, fragrant foliage festooned the balcony, completing this beautiful setting for two people beginning their married life together.

Their five bridesmaids each carried a unique bouquet featuring Proteas, Celosia, Roses and symbolic herbs. Every design was thoughtfully created with its own character, combining beautiful blooms, expressive shapes and meaningful botanical details. 🌸

Inside, the dining tables were arranged in an elegant U-shape, bringing everyone together for an intimate celebration. Flowing garlands of fresh foliage and flickering candles ran the length of each table, while a spectacular swag of Orchids, Proteas, Ferns and fresh foliage created a beautiful focal point in front of our two brides. 🕯️🌿

From the enchanted greenery framing their vows to the candlelit reception, every detail was designed to feel connected, personal and unmistakably Holly & Leigh.

For us, wedding flowers are about so much more than beautiful blooms. They tell stories, express personalities and help create memories that last a lifetime.

🍂💛 GOLDEN AUTUMN ELEGANCE AT HISTORIC SAMLESBURY HALL 💛🍂

A glorious celebration of love, rich autumnal colours and exquisite fresh flowers for Adrian & Stuart at the beautiful, historic Samlesbury Hall! 🏰✨

Every detail was thoughtfully designed to complement their special day, bringing together luxurious golden tones, rich emerald greens and the timeless beauty of fresh flowers. 🌿

🤵‍♂️ THE GROOMS

Adrian & Stuart each wore an elegant Golden Mustard Rose boutonnière, perfectly matching their ties. We love these thoughtful finishing touches that bring the whole wedding look together beautifully! 💛

💐 THE GROOMSMAIDS

Their groomsmaids carried gorgeous bouquets overflowing with golden Orchids, Roses, radiant Sunflowers, emerald green Hydrangeas, Chrysanthemums and beautiful Bridal Flowers Roses.

The combination of glowing gold and rich emerald green looked absolutely spectacular against their gowns, creating a luxurious, jewel-toned autumnal palette. 🍂💚🌻

🪄 A LITTLE FAIRYTALE MAGIC

Their flower girl carried a golden magic wand, adding the sweetest touch of enchantment to the celebrations! ✨

Both Mums looked wonderful wearing exquisite fresh-flower corsages, secured with discreet magnets for comfortable, elegant wear throughout the day. 🤍

🏰 FROM THE WHITTAKER ROOM TO THE GREAT HALL

The ceremony took place in the beautiful Whittaker Room, Samlesbury Hall’s historic former chapel.

As part of the venue’s Elizabethan package, we dressed the registrar’s table with beautiful fresh Orchids and Roses, framed by two magnificent floral pedestals.

Following the ceremony, we carefully repurposed these stunning arrangements in the atmospheric Great Hall, bringing the flowers through into the reception and dressing the tables beautifully.

🍂🤎 AN AUTUMN EVENING, CAPTURED IN FLOWERS 🤎🍂

Some moments in a wedding morning stay with you forever… and presenting our beautiful bride Emily with her wedding bouquet last week was one of those truly special moments. 🥹🤍

At the gorgeous The Shireburn Arms, we had the absolute pleasure of placing Emily’s bouquet into her hands as she prepared to marry her William.

The emotion, anticipation and excitement of the day ahead made this such a lovely moment to be part of. ✨

And what a bouquet it was! 🍂🧡
Inspired by the rich, glowing colours of an autumn evening, Emily’s flowers brought together a luscious collection of fresh Orchids, Roses, Celosia, Chrysanthemums, seasonal Berries, fragrant Herbs and delicate Grasses.

Burnt oranges, golden mustard, deep ochre and burnished copper were beautifully softened with touches of ivory, creating a luxurious, wonderfully textured bouquet filled with warmth, depth and romance.

Every bloom and every detail came together to capture the very essence of autumn. 🌾🤎

Her bridesmaids carried smaller, beautifully coordinated versions of Emily’s bouquet, carrying those rich seasonal colours throughout the bridal party.
Little Willow, their beautiful Flower Girl, had the sweetest task of all, carrying a basket filled with fresh, fragrant Rose petals to scatter. And to complete the floral story, Emily’s lovely mum wore a delicate wrist corsage, thoughtfully designed to complement her daughter’s bouquet. 🌹🤍

We adore creating these little connections between the flowers, bringing everything together so that each person and every detail feels part of the same beautiful story.

🤍✨ THAT FIRST KISS… MR & MRS AT LAST! ✨🤍

There are moments on a wedding day that stay with you forever. The anticipation, the emotion, the happy tears… and then that magical first kiss as husband and wife. 💋🤍

For Jamie & Josh, this beautiful moment unfolded at magnificent Bartle Hall Hotel, surrounded by their loved ones and an abundance of our fresh, fragrant wedding flowers.
Our spectacular FD Flower Bombs framed the ceremony aisle, overflowing with glorious white Hydrangeas, Roses, Dahlias, Stocks, Delphiniums, Carnations, Alstroemeria, Oxypetalum, Phlox and Chrysanthemums, all nestled amongst a luscious collection of fresh foliage.
The result was wonderfully romantic, beautifully textured and filled with the fragrance of fresh flowers — the perfect setting for Jamie & Josh to seal their vows with a kiss. 🌿🤍
And our beautiful bride Jamie carried a bouquet every bit as heavenly as the moment itself!
Full, blousy and beautifully textured, her autumn bridal bouquet featured exquisite Bridal Flow spray Roses by , glorious Playa Blanca Roses, Snowberries, Phlox, Oxypetalum, Rosemary, French Ruscus and Myrtle.
Every flower was carefully chosen to create a bouquet bursting with natural beauty, fragrance and personality, complementing Jamie’s stunning rose-embossed gown perfectly. 🌹
Josh’s boutonnière brought the floral story together beautifully, featuring an elegant Alpe d’Huez Rose, fresh Ivy and Gypsophila, finished with a delicate silver bullion tip.
It’s those little details that make everything feel connected — the bridal bouquet, the Groom’s flowers and the magnificent floral setting surrounding them as they began their married life together.
And that first kiss? 🥹
One of those precious moments you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

✨ FROM LYTHAM HALL TO THE CLIFTON ARMS… AND THE MAGIC OF REPURPOSING YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS ✨

One of the most magical parts of creating wedding flowers is watching them evolve throughout the day.

For beautiful Anna & Harry, the magnificent flowers we created for their ceremony at Lytham Hall were given a whole new lease of life at their wedding reception at Clifton Arms Hotel, creating an entirely different look in this beautiful, bright and contemporary setting. 🤍

And this is where thoughtful floral design makes all the difference!
The Clifton Arms has a distinctive sprig-shaped guest-table layout, and we designed the reception flowers to work beautifully with this arrangement.

The long top table was divided into three sections, with each section positioned between the guest-table sprigs, creating a wonderfully cohesive flow throughout the room.

But the real transformation came with the ceremony flowers themselves…

The magnificent pedestal arrangements and registrar flowers from Lytham Hall were carefully repurposed and elevated onto tall glass vases, creating spectacular centrepieces that towered above the guest tables while allowing everyone to see across the tables and enjoy conversation with their friends and family.

Rather than simply moving the flowers into the reception room, we gave them a completely new purpose and presentation. 🌿

And Anna’s beautiful bridal party bouquets had another starring role!

Elegant glass vases were arranged along the top table, ready to display the bouquets and incorporate them into the overall floral design, allowing those gorgeous flowers to remain part of the celebration.

Then came the finishing touch…
Our stemware floating candles were placed at equal distances along the tables, introducing a gentle, flickering glow and creating a wonderfully romantic atmosphere as the celebration continued into the evening. ✨

The rich Regency-inspired colour palette of deep burgundy, romantic blush pinks, ivory, beautiful greens and pops of orange looked magnificent against the modern surroundings, with all those glorious autumnal textures bringing warmth, depth and personality to the room.

What I particularly love about these photographs is seeing the journey the flowers have taken.
From the grandeur of the ceremony at Lytham Hall to the beautifully styled reception at The Clifton Arms, the same flowers have been transformed to create a completely different atmosphere and a brand-new floral story.

And yet, everything still feels unmistakably Anna & Harry. 🤍

✨ ONE BEAUTIFUL SETTING… TWO MAGICAL MOMENTS ✨
Continuing the beautiful story of Sara & Ollie’s wedding at the magnificent , today we’re sharing one of our favourite parts of their floral journey… transforming their ceremony flowers into an exquisite reception setting. 🤍🌿
Because beautiful wedding flowers deserve more than one moment in the spotlight!
Our romantic floral wonderland in the Great Hall featured fresh, fragrant Roses, Dahlias, Delphiniums, Hydrangeas, Stocks and beautiful foliages, in timeless ivory, white and cream with the tiniest whisper of blush.
And when the ceremony was over, the floral magic continued… ✨
The exquisite pedestals that had lined the aisle were carefully repurposed, becoming gloriously tall, elegant table designs for the reception. Flowers that had framed Sara & Ollie’s precious ceremony moments now brought height, drama and natural beauty to the tables where their loved ones gathered to celebrate.
We also transformed the flowers dressing the Registrars’ table and fireplace in the Great Hall, repurposing them to adorn the top table and fireplace in the ceremony room.
Every arrangement had a second moment to shine. 🤍

THE LADIES, THE FLOWERS & ALL THOSE BEAUTIFUL LITTLE DETAILS… ✨
Continuing the beautiful story of Sara & Ollie’s wedding at the magnificent Peckforton Castle, today we’re celebrating the gorgeous ladies who shared in their special day. 🤍
When we create wedding flowers, it’s never just about the bridal bouquet. It’s about bringing every detail together, creating a beautiful sense of harmony and making sure the flowers for the whole wedding party feel thoughtfully connected.
And the flowers for Sara’s bridesmaids and the two lovely mums were no exception!
The bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning in their elegant deep blue gowns, carrying beautiful bouquets created especially to complement their dresses and echo the flowers in Sara’s own bridal bouquet.
We took the essence of Sara’s petite English country garden bouquet and created smaller, coordinated versions, using the palest ch*****ne, blush and ivory tones, beautiful Roses and delicate seasonal blooms, finished with soft, natural foliages. 🌿🤍
The contrast between those dreamy, romantic flowers and the rich deep blue of the gowns was simply exquisite!
Everything worked together so beautifully without taking anything away from Sara’s own flowers. Just the right balance of colour, texture and elegance. ✨
And then there were the two very special mums… ❤️
For these lovely ladies, we created intricate, bespoke handbag corsages, carefully designed to complement their individual handbags and gowns.
I absolutely love these little details! Rather than a traditional wrist corsage, a beautifully dressed handbag offers such an elegant alternative, adding a delicate touch of fresh flowers while coordinating perfectly with the wearer’s outfit.
Each corsage was carefully considered and crafted, with the flowers and finishing touches chosen to create something that felt special to the individual lady.
It’s this attention to detail that means so much to us at FD Events. Every flower, every colour and every finishing touch has a part to play in bringing the whole wedding together.
Because the mums and bridesmaids deserve their own little moment of floral magic too! 🥹🤍
