I’ve been busy skirting and bagging raw fleece for the open day on the 28th- there hopefully is something for most wool crafters- so hopefully see you then!

We have finally decided on a date for our open day /fleece fibre and yarn day - 28th June 2026. Starting at 11.00 til 3.00. Amy’s currently drowning me a poster, but please share the date with anyone you know who uses raw fleece, spun yarn from real wool and fibre, or who wants to start!
We will have lots of raw fleece from our sheep available- we have BFL, Wensleydale, Shropshire, and ryeland, as well as the bowmont, zwartbles, badger texel, Dutch spotted, welsh mule, so hopefully something for everyone, as well as some washed Llyen, zwartbles and Wensleydale, and probably some alpaca if I can get it skirted in time!
I will also have raw mohair( kid) but it may not be skirted- and some washed mohair( kid).
Also there is plenty of our handspun yarn from the alpacas, and sheep.
There will also be bags of alpaca seconds which are perfect for rug making/felting.
And obviously all wool comes from the animals here on the farm who you can meet and I can tell you all about them!
Hopefully you will come and support this as our first open day, which hopefully will get bigger next year with other local fibre producers having their products here- it would be great to make this a north wales wool fair! ( dream big I say!)

So just planning and working out a date, for our first “open fibre farm” day!
Hoping to have lots of “woolly “ people come to meet all out beautiful fibre producers, and potentially take home some of our wool and fibre. Just waiting on the sheep shearing date so I can announce it officially.

Wesley the Wensleydale is feeling so much cooler and lighter now he’s got his winter fleece off.He was very determined that his fringe was staying though!
Now to wash it all and separate into bunches off locks, which will be for sale later in the year.

Meet the new ladies joining our fibre flock. Wendy is already “sort of” famous, her fleece was used by Little Brown Bird Co to make a gorgeous jumper, she’s a black Wensleydale and her daughter Rebecca is the middle Wensleydale. The end one was called popcorn, but that’s not sticking for me- so might end up changing, and she’s a Wensleydale xTeeswater. Super excited to get my hands on their beautiful fleeces!

Our last lamb born was today, a pedigree BFL ram( was really hoping for a girl).
Ruby kidded two days ago, this beautiful girl, just waiting on the other goats now.
