Sweet Floral Art Individually created floral gifts made from sugar paste All the flowers and foliage are made with edible sugar paste, colouring and glaze. a dozen roses £30.

Many people don’t believe that are made from sugar and like to try a tiny piece. Due to the very delicate nature of the finished flowers, it is not possible to arrange delivery and they have to be collected from me in Blisworth, Northamptonshire, or delivery by arrangement. Because each flower is made individually, the amount of work required to complete each piece is significant and I can only

take on a small number of orders at any one time, but please contact me to discuss your requirements. Bouquets or vases of flowers are based on how many flowers you want and the variety of flowers - e.g. A single flower can be as little as £5 lasts for years, or you can eat it when you a fed up with it! I can offer a range of containers for the finished arrangement, including glass domes and wooden plaques. Alternatively, If you have a favourite vase or container I am happy to create something special using it.

I should have updated this page before now, but on Saturday 5th April I will be back at Towcester Handmade Crafte Fayre from 10.00 till 4.00. I have been busy making some new things as well as sone old favourites. If you can have sugar mice, you can have sugar bunnies, and who doesn’t love Peter Rabbit! There are also tiny sugar Easter eggs in baskets, filled with tiny fruit chews. Do cone and see us.

One of the problems I encountered with making sugar flowers is they can so easily get broken, which is heart breaking for me and even more so for someone who has purchased one of my pieces. So I have been experimenting and have come up with these -

Perspex boxes. So another option for anyone buying my flowers. Not only that, it keeps them dust free in a perfect environment. The first ones will be available on 8th June at the Towcester Handmade Fayre - Towcester town hall. Do come and have a look.

This project has been ongoing for quite a while. It’s a gift for a very dear friend who lives in The south of France, where sugarwork like this is a rarity, apparently. My husband promised it when we visited last July, and I have been working on it since December. I must admit to being rather pleased with the end result- even I am surprised by how lifelike it is.

I have also been working on some other new exciting projects which will mean easier transportation of flowers, so watch this space.
