EVERGREEN INTERIORS × CHEF FRED ALSOP

Launch Event — Saturday 29th August

We’re incredibly excited to announce a new collaboration between Evergreen Interiors and Chef Fred Alsop.

The collaboration began with the rekindling of a friendship between Ross and Fred, first forged many years ago through junior rugby, and has grown into an exciting partnership combining beautiful kitchens, great food and a shared passion for bringing people together.

Over the coming months, Fred will be showcasing all manner of culinary delights at Evergreen — offering an insight into what chefs really cook at home, the good, the bad and everything in between, while demonstrating how you can produce restaurant-quality food in your own kitchen.

And this is only the beginning, with plenty more exciting collaborations and events already being planned.

If Fred Alsop isn’t already on your radar, he is Chef Patron of The Fishmarket Bar & Restaurant in Looe, where a passion for food and drink is matched by a commitment to outstanding produce and exceptional hospitality.

🚿 Outdoor Showers! 🚿

Do you own a property near the beach? Have mucky dogs? Or enjoy messy activities such as water sports, cross country or mountain biking?

We don’t hear of many outdoor showers on properties here in Cornwall, but what a convenience they would be! Being able to wash all that sand or mud off before bringing it into the home, or making the shed even more messy, would be such a novelty. I can see these being a real asset to the home all year round!

You may be putting yourself off by imagining how challenging it would be to get one plumbed in, but this may not be as difficult as you expect. To keep it as simple as possible, consider locating it on the other side of a wall where you already have hot and cold feeds, such as your kitchen sink, WC, downstairs bathroom or utility. There’s also no need to worry about a complicated drainage system as these showers are typically only for light use, such as rinsing off, rather than replacing your normal shower routine with soaps and for longer periods of time. In suitable locations, allowing the water to soak into the ground is sufficient.

Finally, after a lot of hard work from the whole team, we are excited to advertise our opening weekend event!

Absolutely love this idea! I came across an advert for Frank and Grace Clean Beach in the cornwalllivinguk magazine. You can email them to request your free beach clean bag - not exclusively for beaches though, but great to take out on any of your dog walking adventures to help keep our countryside looking clean and beautiful!

I’ve just been to the shop to get 2 littler grabbers for our young boys to use out with us and they are so excited to put them to use and contribute to looking after our environment💚
