A very big thank you to everyone who has come to buy flowers from the newly renovated sheep trailer (thanks to my husband, John and friend, Craig) It is now proudly called The Loose Leaf Flower Bar. There are still a few jars and bunches, as they say ‘when they’re gone, they’re gone’.

A very big thank you to everyone who came to my workshops to make their own door wreaths and to those who bought from me, very much appreciated.

Abbey is here today with a pop up shop with her Christmas gifts, if you need a last minute present.

We’ll be here until 3 today, then on Monday and Tuesday morning. I will be finishing at lunchtime on Tuesday, to get the workshop ready for Christmas Dinner!

Thank you Craig and Rebecca for growing your ‘show stopping’ dahlias on our patch of land. Now prize giving is over, it’s thank you for letting me cut them for The Loose Leaf. Hope those frosts stay away for a long time yet !

The wedding season has quietened down for me for a while until it gets going again towards the end of July and August. Congratulations to all the lovely couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with so far this year.
As many of you know I reach the age of retirement next week !! How could I ever stop dealing with such beautiful flowers, so fear not I’m not hanging up my scissors just yet!
I am going to take a couple of weeks away from today. Abbey will open up on Friday 11th July for a few hours and I’ll be back the following week.

The summer flowers are beginning to come in thick and fast, both soft colours and bold. The short season of the majestic peony is here. Hoping the forecasted rain doesn’t flatten them, on the other hand we really need the rain.
I am away on Friday 23rd May at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Back in action on Saturday.

I regard myself as very lucky to be able to go and pick up flowers from Peter and Tom at and John at . The wedding season has arrived for me, so apologies if I’m not around personally but hopefully you’ll be able to pick up a jar or a bunch of flowers from the front. Wishing all the couples getting married today a wonderful, happy and sunny day
