Here's something we've noticed watching production designers work with our neon signs on set.

Tony's been bending glass over an open flame since 1989, and Sam began her journey in 2012.

There's no machine that can replicate this. The glass has to soften in the flame, then get turned and shaped by hand while it's still workable, second by second. That kind of judgement only comes from doing it thousands of times.

It's the same process behind every sign that leaves our Bolton workshop, whether it's a small home piece or a full shopfront.

On July 1st, we hit a massive milestone: 21 years of Neon Creations.

From a small dream in 2005 to two decades of HANDCRAFTING genuine glass neon signs in our Bolton workshop, it’s been a journey of pure passion.

We’ve stuck to our roots—refusing to swap traditional CRAFTSMANSHIP for cheap alternatives. We believe in the REAL GLASS glow that only true, hand-bent neon provides.

Our family-run team has spent over 60 years combined perfecting this art, and surviving for 21 years as an independent manufacturer is something we are incredibly proud of.

I booked a taster session as a unique experience on my birthday and it did not disappoint. As soon as you enter the studio you are greeted with a stunning range of bright, creative and colourful neon signs. Tony cannot advocate enough for this specialist industry and his passion to protect the skills needed for it is infectious. From detailing the history of the industry, explaining how the variety of results are all created, through to showing step by step demonstrations and encouraging you to try it out and see your own progress being made. The science behind how the glass reacts to heat and learning how to mould it in ways that initially look physically impossible is a lot of fun. I have very much been swept up by the experience and cannot wait to book a longer session and revisit asap

The time I had in the Neon Store was great, so unexpected and very informative. I enjoyed every bit of it even though I was scared of the flame at the beginning. Seeing how the glass is shaped is an eye opener and I would recommend anyone to go and visit. You come away amazed and also educated

Did you watch The Cage which recently aired on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer?
