Another epic road trip from the North East down to see Paul and Anna-Louise at Avonvale Carpets in Bath.

They have decided to add a couple of 2.4M lightboxes to a corner of their showroom to completely transform the area from a blank wall to a riot of colour!

Lightboxes are an easy fit sign with a fabric face graphic back-lit by LEDS. All you need is the space and a power supply. The fabric covers are easy, and low cost, to replace for seasonal sales messages making these signs a great addition to any showroom.

Christine and Bethany, at Flooring Supply Centre in Liverpool, have used their marketing allowance to add some decorative prints to their showroom.

Christine sent us a couple of AI generated ‘inspiration’ images and this took the guesswork out of what they were looking for. The hardest part of this artwork was finding the right images suitable for large format printing.

These laminated foamboard prints - along with laser cut acrylic lettering - have been supplied for DIY fit.

The final call of our road trip was to see Paul and Anna-Louise at Avonvale Carpets in Bath.

In Paul’s own words he had a ‘bit of ugly wall that he didn’t want to pay a plasterer to fix’ so we created a 2.5 x 1.3M laminated panel, promoting the LVT ranges, to cover the area.

Older buildings are always a challenge with nothing being level and or straight so we are always prepared to adapt the way we go about fixing signs and this job was no exception. A double whammy of uneven surface and crooked timbers but I think you’ll agree this looks great and does a perfect job of disguising the ‘ugly wall’!

The second stop on our ‘down south’ road trip was Grosvenor Carpets in Bournemouth. The shop sign was showing definite signs of age - fading and crazing - in a south facing position. Dark colours don’t fare well in sunny locations so we have tried to alleviate any future issues by using white Dibond panels with their logo as a central feature.

We riveted the new sign on to the existing pan sign creating a brand new look at a fraction of the cost of making a new pan.

All work was supervised closely by Wilf, the shop dog.

Three days in the south for the Metro Marketing team this week.

The first stop was to see John, at Highdown Carpets in Rustington. A change of stands in his showroom had left a wall of unsightly stand backs so we created 2 signs, totalling 4.5M wide, to cover up and promote his lectern displays.

The Invictus imagery is always stunning and the first panel really creates an impact. The Westex logo has been laser cut from gloss white acrylic against a simple black background creating a really impactful sign.

This whole sign cost John just £199 after using his Metro marketing allowance.

Faisal, At Rainbow Carpets & Flooring, is continuing the rebranding of his showroom with another 17 ranges own-labelled.

Atif and Naeem, at The Carpet Stop Derby, wanted to replace the sales message on their prominent post sign.

Two 8’ x 4’ laminated Dibond panels were fitted to their existing posts and the ‘silent salesman’ is back!
