📣 THIS KITCHEN DOESN'T BELIEVE IN PLAYING IT SAFE 💙

This project proves that a kitchen transformation can be about much more than simply changing the colour.

The homeowners wanted something bold, something different, and something that would make a statement. The choice of Valspar Stay Awhile completely changed the feel of the room, turning a tired kitchen into a space full of character and personality.

But the real challenge was the worktops.

Years of water ingress around both sides of the sink had left sections swollen and damaged. Rather than replacing them, we carefully repaired the affected areas before resurfacing and resealing the entire worktop in our Joas White + Flake ☆ 21 finish.

We also filled all existing handle holes before accurately redrilling every door and drawer to suit a new handle size, helping to modernise the kitchen and complete the fresh new look.

This is a perfect example of what happens when you stop looking at what a kitchen is and start looking at what it could be.

The original pine-effect units weren't damaged.
The layout worked.
The kitchen still had years of life left in it.

It just lacked personality.

By introducing Valspar Soft Panther, brightening the worktops with our stone effect resurfacing system, and fitting new handles throughout, the entire room took on a completely different feel.

What was once a fairly standard pine-effect kitchen now feels sharper, richer, and far more contemporary.

This kitchen had good bones, but the original oak-effect doors, dark worktops, and bold red tiles were making the space feel darker, busier, and dated.

Rather than the cost, mess, and disruption of a full kitchen replacement, we completely transformed the space using our specialist refinishing systems.

The cabinets were professionally resprayed in Farrow & Ball Selvedge, creating a softer, more contemporary feel, while the worktops and tiles were refinished in our White Base + Flake #51 finish to brighten the room and bring everything together.

The result is a cleaner, lighter, more modern kitchen that feels like a completely different space — without replacing a single cabinet.

We're investing heavily in new facilities, equipment and people, and we're looking for an experienced Spray Painter / Finisher to join our growing team.

THE ROLE

You'll be involved in a variety of workshop and site-based projects, including:

• Surface preparation and repairs
• Filling, sanding and masking
• Applying primers and topcoats
• Kitchen, furniture and UPVC refinishing
• Removal and refitting of doors, drawers and hardware
• Working within our spray facilities and on customer sites
• Maintaining exceptional quality standards throughout every project

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Previous spray painting experience
• Strong preparation and repair skills
• Ability to produce high-quality finishes consistently
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to follow established systems and processes
• Competent use of common workshop and hand tools
• Full UK driving licence preferred

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Kitchen refinishing
• Furniture spraying
• UPVC spraying
• 2K coating systems
• Acid-catalysed coating systems
• Basic joinery or workshop experience
• Measuring, marking out and fitting handles and hardware
• Working within spray booth environments
