Bedrooms have to be plain in order to create a relaxing environment. THIS IS INCORRECT!

Calm spaces can absolutely be created using bold wallpaper, with the right pattern, scale and colour. It’s all about getting the balance right and how you style the room - just like we did here in our clients master bedroom 💁🏽‍♂️

PLEASE READ 👆🏽

This was a situation I recently experienced, and honestly, it left me speechless.

Yes, delays and mistakes happen, and that’s OK. We’re all human. Just own it, communicate, and fix it. There’s simply no need to make someone else feel small when they’re just doing their job.

Situations like this make being an interior designer 100 times harder and far less enjoyable. They always end up costing us time (that we can’t charge for) to pick up the pieces and put things right.

So why am I sharing this?

Because I want to showcase the real life struggles of being an interior designer. It’s not always picture perfect, as it can appear on social media… There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes that you don’t see.

Over the weekend, Bhavin Taylor Design turned 12 years old or should I say young 🍾🥂

What a journey it’s been. I feel incredibly blessed to have reached this milestone, and so grateful to every client who has trusted me to transform their spaces with my signature style: “Love Colour. Embrace Pattern.”
