it’s inevitable we’re looking back at one of novo’s first projects + feeling nostalgic.

this modern kitchen showcases the warmth + character bespoke joinery + lighting details can provide.

chantry mew’s cloakroom, situated in the rural village of motcombe.

this has been thoughtfully designed with archetypal country interior finishes yet in current styling proportions to harmonise with the newly built architecture. for instance: the mini sage metros are vertically tiled, the timber shelf is floating with hidden supports, the brushed brass basin mixer is wall mounted + the light has a warm amber glass shade. these details create an interior that is homely, warm + nostalgic whilst also being fresh + contemporary!

one of the beautiful bootrooms at the recently completed development in motcombe, shaftesbury, dorset.

a bootroom is the ideal space for the english winters as it acts as a middle ground between outside + in; it holds the family’s coats, muddy wellies + even the dog’s bed! this space features cabinetry in pastel blue with brushed brass accents. the surrounding blue tongue + groove cladding was colour matched perfectly to the cabinets, creating a traditional take in this new house setting.

we absolutely love to be creative with tiling.. but creative design doesn’t always mean a bold pattern nor colour palette! sometimes…it can be the tile placement that can make a space unique.

for “kite view” we focused on using a combination of matt white, bleached timbers + beautiful pebble stone effect tiling. the white wall tiles lining up with the timber floor tiles, whereas the pebble features on both walls + floors within the shower + toilet enclosure, creating an impact with this banding of tiling 🖤
we’re very fortunate our clients have some amazing tilers! perfect precision 👌🏻

a kitchen in a luxury home is an opportunity of create a piece of art. much more than selecting cabinetry from a brochure.

for this piece of art, we designed a banding of warm timber around the wall units + bespoke timber table legs to the island which turns the standard seen-a-million-times-before island into a beautiful unique furniture piece.

sometimes it is also the details you don’t see that were carefully curated. the pantry door was colour matched to the walls + so were the sockets on the marble splashback.

When you buy a new home it isn’t necessarily to your taste! We’ve been instructed to redesign this open plan kitchen, living + dining area into a space with more character… Something our clients will truly love + make them feel like it is THEIR home!

After working through the design process all summer, we’re happy to start the refurbishment process. We’ll be working closely with Ironwood Carpentry & Joinery over the next month alongside other great members of our team to provide carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plastering, tiling + decorating services. Watch this space for a brand new kitchen design also!!
