🥂Just wrapped up this whole house renovation in Canford Cliffs, Poole. WIth a new kitchen and utility from , new bathrooms (photos to follow), new lighting, flooring, curtains and blinds throughout, there were a lot of moving parts!

The clients wanted bold and bright to pop against the white walls, and the orange sofa by in the open plan space really sings against the blue kitchen by .

Upstairs the clients had opted for incredible vaulted ceilings, so we supplied statement lights to draw the eye and illuminate the space.

Finishing touches 🤩. It's always really exciting adding those last finishing touches - the lamps, mirrors, cushions and plants which really bring a space together and create atmosphere. They're the first thing the eye notices and can really make or break the design of a room.

So don't forget to plan and cost all the little extras though, it's easy for them to blow the budget 😁

💬'The fondest memories are made when gathered around a dining table.'

The kitchen is the hub of the home, however in a holiday let the dining area can be the anchor that brings a group of people together.

If your property is self catering and you host larger families and groups, the likelihood is your guests will be spending time around the dining table.

If have smaller children they will be fed first, then the adults will sit and enjoy dinner, play games and chat into the night, or everyone may sit and dine together at various points throughout the day.

The key point here is the dining table you provide must not only look good, it has to be able to accommodate all your guests.

Now there are a couple of tricks you can do to ensure a super stylish table that is not cluttered with tons of chairs.

1 - Invest in a decent extendable table. One that doesn't look lesser in design when it is in its largest form.

2 - Make sure that the table can fit the 'standard' number of guests for everyday use. So if you have 2 x double rooms and a bunk bed room but also a sofa bed in the lounge and option for additional bed in the 3rd room, you can have a table for 8, but make sure it extends to 10 to accommodate all the possible guests. (Don't forget high-chairs, too!)

3 - Position unused chairs angled in the corner, facing into the room with a decorative cushion placed on the seat to give it purpose.

4 - Round Tables are great for accommodating large numbers but can be awkward in certain spaces. Make sure you have the width to allow enough movement, for most dining spaces rectangular shape works best.

5 - Think about the dining chairs. No use buying gorgeous yet really wide seats with angled legs if you need to increase the number of seats around the table and they don't fit, you are wasting space.
Benches can be a great option as children can squish on together and the bench can be tucked right under the table when not in use.

💡Bonus tip - a pedestal base with banquette seating can really make best use of a tight space. The table can be tucked away when not in use, leaving the kids more room to run amok!
