I juggle nursing shifts, mom life and late-night cake chaos-powered mostly by love, exhaustion and Zara yelling "We are the bakers!" like it's our battle cry!

11 years of marriage, and still celebrating with cake 😀 🤎✨

This one was inspired by an autumn craving — pear, walnut & caramel 🍐🍂 — with layers of soft vanilla sponge, caramel, juicy pear and crunchy toasted walnuts, all finished with a creamy caramel filling. 🤎

And, of course, finished off with a very enthusiastic confetti sprinkle session from Zara. 😂✨ She definitely enjoyed her part!

Thank you, hubby, for 11 wonderful years of adventures, laughs, memories and for always being my favourite person to do life with. ❤️

Here’s to 11… and whatever comes next. 🥂🍂

A floral cake for a very special lady, all finished and chilling before it heads off to the party! 💐🥂

And we’re back with chocolate + forest fruits… because someone who tried our last cake loved this combination so much, they specifically requested it again! 🥹🍫🍓🫐

Rich chocolate sponge, fruity forest fruits and creamy goodness, all dressed up in a little floral outfit. 🌸🎂

🦄🎂 Two months late… but who’s counting?! 😂

Zara didn’t get to celebrate her birthday at nursery because of the summer holidays etc. so she decided her last day before big school was the perfect time! 🥳

Still unicorn-themed, of course… because apparently unicorns have no concept of calendars either! 🦄🌈😂

And the cake? Chocolate sponge, forest fruit mousse and jelly insertions & cheesecream — deliciousness in every bite! 🍫🫐🍓🎂

A huge thank you to the wonderful nursery team for being on board with her wish and for all the effort, love and beautiful memories you’ve given her. ❤️

What started as a cake for a small family barbecue turned into the sweetest surprise for my sister’s 18th wedding anniversary! 💍✨

Our favorite marshmallow and chocolate combination brought smiles to around 40 guests, celebrating together in their beautiful apple orchard—a place they’ve built with so much love, hard work, and dedication. 🍎🌳

And while everyone enjoyed the cake, our little baker Zara was busy making memories and loving every minute in the orchard. 🤍

💖 A little late, but too special not to share… Happy 4th Birthday to our beautiful Cezara! 💖

“Wow, I can’t believe I’m 4! I wanted to stay little forever!” If only you knew… Mummy and Daddy feel exactly the same.

Our world is currently filled with unicorns, rainbows and magic, so this cake could only be one thing—a unicorn! Chocolate sponge layered with Zara’s favourite strawberry and banana filling, made with love for her special picnic birthday party with her little friends. A moment to treasure forever..

Happy 4th Birthday, our precious girl. You’ll always be our little one, no matter how big you grow. ❤️

The We Are The Bakers kitchen officially opened for a very special celebration yesterday! 🎉

A Bluey-themed birthday cake for our beautiful goddaughter Miriam as she turned the big THREE! 💙🎈

Made especially for a little chocolate lover, this cake was packed with rich chocolate goodness, Oreo crunch, and the dreamiest marshmallow mousse 🍫🤎🐾 — every layer made to bring big smiles to our birthday girl.

And honestly… I’ve always been loyal to a good old fruit cake 😅 but this cake may have completely converted me. One bite in, and I am addicted forever 😂🍰

This week We Are The Bakers, had a very important mission: International Day at Zara’ s Nursery. Which obviously meant only one thing — we had to bake cakes. Because that’s our contribution to international relations: sugar and butter.

First, we made an Ants’ Nest cake. Not just any ants’ nest… a luxury ants’ nest, because the ants on top were handmade by us from sugar paste. Yes, we sat there making tiny ants like two very serious pastry chefs, until we started to question our life choices, but it was all worth it 🤩

The second cake was a typical Romanian birthday cake, decorated with the flags of all the children in the nursery+ a few more 😀. Romania met the world… in buttercream form. If world leaders solved problems over cake, everything would be much better..🤔💭

Cakes: enjoyed.
Ants: eaten.
Flags: slightly demolished by frosting fingers.
International relations: successful.

Well… turns out being a full-time nurse and part-time baker means sometimes the cakes win, sometimes the camera loses 📸😂
Life got a little extra busy with a new nursing job and the last few creations didn’t even get the chance to go through their glamorous photo sessions…
But today we are BACK 🎉
And we’re celebrating the most important man in our lives — our amazing daddy and husband ❤️ The real MVP. The cake taste-tester. The chief dishwasher. The supporter of all our sweet madness.
Zara decided that Daddy would absolutely love a Dinosaur-themed cake 🦖 (because obviously, dinosaurs make everything better). So here it goes… made with love, sprinkles, and a little bit of controlled chaos.
Stay tuned — We Are The Bakers are back (whenever shifts and homework allow 😉).
