The We Are The Bakers kitchen officially opened for a very special celebration yesterday! 🎉

A Bluey-themed birthday cake for our beautiful goddaughter Miriam as she turned the big THREE! 💙🎈

Made especially for a little chocolate lover, this cake was packed with rich chocolate goodness, Oreo crunch, and the dreamiest marshmallow mousse 🍫🤎🐾 — every layer made to bring big smiles to our birthday girl.

And honestly… I’ve always been loyal to a good old fruit cake 😅 but this cake may have completely converted me. One bite in, and I am addicted forever 😂🍰

This week We Are The Bakers, had a very important mission: International Day at Zara’ s Nursery. Which obviously meant only one thing — we had to bake cakes. Because that’s our contribution to international relations: sugar and butter.

First, we made an Ants’ Nest cake. Not just any ants’ nest… a luxury ants’ nest, because the ants on top were handmade by us from sugar paste. Yes, we sat there making tiny ants like two very serious pastry chefs, until we started to question our life choices, but it was all worth it 🤩

The second cake was a typical Romanian birthday cake, decorated with the flags of all the children in the nursery+ a few more 😀. Romania met the world… in buttercream form. If world leaders solved problems over cake, everything would be much better..🤔💭

Cakes: enjoyed.
Ants: eaten.
Flags: slightly demolished by frosting fingers.
International relations: successful.

Well… turns out being a full-time nurse and part-time baker means sometimes the cakes win, sometimes the camera loses 📸😂
Life got a little extra busy with a new nursing job and the last few creations didn’t even get the chance to go through their glamorous photo sessions…
But today we are BACK 🎉
And we’re celebrating the most important man in our lives — our amazing daddy and husband ❤️ The real MVP. The cake taste-tester. The chief dishwasher. The supporter of all our sweet madness.
Zara decided that Daddy would absolutely love a Dinosaur-themed cake 🦖 (because obviously, dinosaurs make everything better). So here it goes… made with love, sprinkles, and a little bit of controlled chaos.
