If that's you, this is the place to begin. Welcome to Stitching Kitchen!

Learn to Make Clothes runs for five Thursday evenings (10 hours in all), and you'll have hands-on time making one or more beginner friendly garments of your choice, using your own machine or borrowing one of our PFAFF and JANOME demos.

A Tilly and the Buttons pattern of your choice is included, and it's a small class, so nobody gets lost along the way. Whether you're a complete beginner or brushing up your skills, you'll head home with the confidence to keep going and make anything that you choose.

Just over three weeks until Learn to Love Your Overlocker, so there's still time to bring that machine out of hiding. 🧵

Even if this is the first time you have opened the box, we are here to help you get comfy with overlockers.

We aren’t aiming to turn you into an expert overnight. We want to help you make friends with your overlocker so that, the next time you sit down at it, you feel confident rather than confused.

Our class is small and supportive, so there's help when you need it, and tea and cake are included. Learning is hungry work!

Ideally bring your own overlocker. If you don't have one yet though, you can try our PFAFF Admire 1000 or JANOME Mylock 454D demo models (just let us know when you book).

Isn’t this pineapple quilt block gorgeous!

We are teaching this block on Thursday 19th November from 10am to 1pm, and we would love to see you there.

You'll use foundation piecing, sewing your strips onto a base so nothing stretches or distorts, along with accurate cutting and careful pressing. Come and make a Pineapple block just like this one.

If you've done a little patchwork or sewing before, you're ready.

This quilt block could become a cushion, be framed on your wall, or you could repeat it for a full-sized quilt: the choice is yours.

Here are some of the fabulous results from the past!

If you've always meant to learn to sew properly, this is a lovely, comprehensive way in: two Saturdays, three finished projects, and your tutor on hand for every step from threading the machine to your first buttonhole to finishing your projects.

This is the full-day workshop for anyone who's thought, 'I wish I could make more clothes that fit me like this one does.' We'll show you how.

Bring a woven garment you love. Leave with a custom pattern and the skills to make it again.

Have your favourite dress in 5 colours, and the comfiest shorts you own in a fabric no one else has them in.

The skills you learn in this class are vital to any sewer, taking you from bound to a pattern to being able to customise your wardrobe.

This amazing course with 10 hours of teaching time builds your sewing confidence on the sewing machine and develops you cutting out and sewing techniques so you finish with the skills to kick start your sewing journey no matter whether you want to get into dressmaking, making soft furnishing or mending.

This weekend: Creative Textiles Day.

If you've been wanting to make something without a pattern to follow, or explore techniques you've been curious about, this is your workshop. Let your creativity flow.

Using the sewing machines in either sewing or free motion mode you can stitch layered fabrics. Further embellishment to add more texture and depth using a variety of yarns, threads and beads, buttons and sequins can be added by either hand or machine stitch.

There is room for your full creative self here, and we can't wait to meet them.
