Case study: Clatterbridge Cancer Centre
Following the specification of high-efficiency LED luminaires supplied by Netzo, Clatterbridge Cancer Centre has achieved annual lighting energy savings of £228,134, alongside a measurable reduction in carbon emissions.
The project involved the replacement of existing lighting infrastructure across clinical, circulation, and support areas with efficient, healthcare-appropriate LED luminaires. By reducing connected load, improving luminaire efficacy, and incorporating appropriate controls and emergency functionality, the upgrade has delivered sustained reductions in energy consumption and operational costs.
This case study highlights the role of considered LED luminaire specification in supporting long-term energy efficiency and cost control within complex healthcare estates.
