My latest painting 'Halloween at The Beare'

My latest painting captures one of my favourite pubs, dating back to 1533.

Local legend has it that some of the timbers used in its construction came from a Tudor warship.

With its centuries of history and unmistakable atmosphere, it's the perfect setting for a Halloween haunting.

Halifax Minster & the Ring O’ Bells pub

Halifax Minster stands proudly above the town, Grade I listed and with roots stretching back over 900 years.

Beneath it sits the Ring O’ Bells — a proper old Halifax pub, perfect for a pint after a wander around the Minster… and yes, some say it’s haunted too.

October's calendar picture is "Magpie Cafe', Whitby".

I wanted to capture the atmosphere of one of Whitby's most iconic landmarks, with its bustling streets, coastal charm, and the anticipation of enjoying fish and chips by the sea.

I hope you enjoy this little glimpse of Whitby as much as I enjoyed creating it.

My latest painting

Hebden Dawn

A winter scene - influenced by the recent heatwave (its true) Longing for some cooler weather in the humidity we have just had. Took solace in some of the cold stuff

This winter scene includes the Wadsworth monument, Heptonstalls St Thomas's church and last, but not least, Stoodley Pike sat there on the tops.

Would make a fantastic walk. I'll give it a shot some day.
