Ok so hear is a first for me to offer. I brought this tooth a couple of months ago but it's only just arrived in the latest shipment. This tooth is the first I have brought that was found in the sea off the coast of indonesia. It was pulled up in fishing nets. The fishemen who found it really liked it and were reluctant to sell it and so i did pay more than I should have but being so unusual with such amazing root presivation i had to get it. This tooth is 3.7" , has nice enamal, sharp serrations and the root presivation is almost unlike anyothers i have seen. I personally think that the poor root presivation in indonesia is to do with the PH of the fresh water falling on land. dispite many of the teeth being dug the rocks there are very pourous and so rain water will seep deep into the rock and could be attacking the roots. Maybe where this one was exposed from deposits under the sea it has not been exposed to acidic or alkaline water? I'm not sure on that its just a theory. Sadly one corner of the root lobe is missing but I felt I really wanted to see this tooth and have something different. it was found in the pandandaran sea off pandgandaran beach. No real proffit to add on this tooth but am pleased to offer something a bit different, really need to get £170 back on this one

It's raining here on the Isle of Wight today so its grey and overcast, bad for photographing new stock, may have to use the light box, lots to do.....
