Another workshop weekend and another array of upholstery coming to Brampton looking for a new lease of life 🙌🏻
Once again our students smashed their exams 😄

We had Headboards, Storage boxes, Dining drop in seats and a small Chaise Longue.

I’m sure you’ll agree that they all look fab!

We are now having a summer break and our next weekend will be September 12th and 13th.

Light, airy and spacious (and we only ever have a max of 6 people on any course) our hub is the perfect base for your new favourite craft of Upholstery.

No matter what course you are on, each student gets their own space and individual compressor staple gun - no sharing required here! 😄

Less than 6 weeks until our next Upholstery Workshop Weekend (June 13 & 14)

Although we have lots of space to work with, there will only ever be a maximum of 6 people on any course. We much prefer the personal touch!

No matter which course you do, every student attending shall have their own work bench and compressor staple gun (no sharing required here) throughout with a nice big fabric cutting table in the middle.

*Bespoke upholstery commissions spotlight*

So I do a fair amount of reupholstery commissions however I do love making complete bespoke pieces for you too!
Whether it be strange shaped window box cushions to fit your sill, a headboard with a funky shape or a new bench seating area to accompany your new kitchen design (in the picture), I can help!

I can work with you to figure out the best way forward and the correct fabrics to use 😄👍🏻

Dining chair reupholstery day (or weekend)

This is one of our most popular reupholstery workshops as it’s one of the easiest way to give your dining room a faaaaaabulous glow up for a relatively small cost!

The pictures examples are from a recent weekend we did where two types of dining chair were brought along.
1) Seat pads - these pads are usually screwed into the chair and thus able to be screwed out, these are technically less difficult so you can complete quite a few of these over 1 (or 2 days)
(The husband and wife team in picture cracked out so many this day - a proper team effort, with no arguments either 😄)

2) Fixed dining seats - as the word suggests the fabric is applied and fixed to the whole chair rather than coming away. These can take longer as more tricky cuts involved etc.

But either option is available to do here this June - which do you have in your house?

*Reupholstery spot light

Small sofas are another big enquiry for me, some are too big for my studio to accommodate but if you have a small-medium size sofa in need of a little spring spruce up give me a shout 😄👍🏻

After you send over a few pictures I can then give you a host of fabrics options to peruse, timescale and a good idea of the costs for the whole project.

Another upholstery workshop weekend smashed! The weather was shocking so we were in the right place 😃

Saturday was beginner day (by chance rather than design) including a family from Newcastle come to learn the basics of upholstery by making their own traditional footstool.
Sunday we had a host of fabulous regulars back who have completed several pieces over the years.
Some are working on wingbacks over a few different weekends, but lots of progress completed over the last two days.
Looking like chairs again! 🤩
Then a storage box glow up which will be finished in our next course.
Finally a contemporary footstool made from scratch with awesome buttoning and piping to complement the legs and fabric! This one completed in just one day.
